Yeah cos only people aged 18-35 are allowed to enjoy festivals. Radiohead are still active and recording new music. They're as relevant today as they were 20 years ago.

... And only mums are allowed to like Adele.... unclench, it was merely a joke.

... of course Radiohead are only relevant if you don't follow the artists that they copy from ...

Such as?

Throw a rock at the Warp records line up and you'll hit someone... Autechre being the most obvious.  Or anything Mike Paradinas has had a hand in.  Expand your search to early Krautrock stuff, Can, Neu!, Faust, Amon Düül II, and you've got the other side. Whine over the top of it in a nasally voice and it is complete... solid, if a little derivative at times, music... add sycophantic fans to taste.

You make a good point, I love Can and a lot of Warp stuff. I still think they're great though :)

Nothing really wrong with Radiohead, they are a reasonable band.  Live they are entertaining too. ... some of the fans on the other hand... a bit like Tool fans (and I love Tool).

Nice choice :)

Fave Warp tune is quite the rabbit hole.  I suspect B12 won't be headlining the main stage (but it would a lot cooler if they did)

Probably because it is the intro to my very favourite Warp album Time Tourist ... closely followed by the Blech II: Blechsdöttir compilation.

Ok Computer is quite obviously inspired by the Beatles. Im pretty sure I read an article somewhere saying paranoid android was their attempt to do "Happiness is a warm gun".

Fitter Happier is very much like Revolution #9

Karma Police / Sexy Sadie

My best friend at the time that was released was adamant the sample said 'night in milwakee' after we heard it in a club.

We fell out over that very thing and didn't speak for 25 years, until we met again by chance at a tea shop in Beaconsfield. We had a good laugh about it and spoke for a good 25 minutes before it all flared up again and I called him a c*nt. He said the next time he sees me I'd better be prepared as he's going to kill me. You won't get that sort of passion over Radiohead. Or was it Adele we were talking about? Whatever.

Day after the Brits, right?  Reckon there could be any link between this and the next Glastonbury headliner to be announced?  It's not unusual for the two festivals to share a headliner.

Nope. T usually announce their lineup at the end of February anyway and the main rumour is Calvin Harris and Red Hot Chili Peppers for the other two headliners.

My bad.  Haven't kept up to date with the T rumours at all.  If true though, that almost makes Muse, Adele and Coldplay seem like a fantastic trio, comparatively!

    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
