How are we thinking this week is going to pan out then?

Unlikely to get anything tomorrow a few drip announcements (the glade, shangri la etc) and then something on Thursday?

If the one we're all waiting for is out this week, it won't happen until Thursday is my guess. Glade and Shangri La have yet to announce, and we know they're doing so separately, however B. Bragg did say the festival themselves would be revealing Leftfield this week and I would imagine their next line-up related announcement of any kind will be the full stage/times. So my guess is we'll see a Thursday line up, but if Glade haven't announced by that point, it'll be next week.

I wasn't there, though saw their TV coverage that night. I had never heard or Portishead at the time but I put that performance of Machine Gun as one of the most mind altering moments in my musical tastes. At the time I was pretty much just into rock and that was it but that really opened my eyes to a lot of different experimental types of music and I'm so thankful for that.

And I'm seeing them in less than 2 months now !!! :girlinlove:

I like this getting each area separately, it's pretty good. Would rather have it this way, then evrything dumped at once.

I initially thought it was a really great concept to give the lower stages their time to shine

however I really struggle to enjoy it as its impossible to know who they may clash with

an example of this was Leftfield on silver hayes, I couldn't get hyped for it until I know where and when they are playing

it is like dangling more sweets in front of you but you are only allowed to have the one!

How many areas are there left that we could realistically expect to announce separately? I don't like how negative it is in here but I'm staying hopeful that it won't be too long for the big drop.

Loads.

West Holts

The Park

Acoustic

Glade

Green Futures

Leftfield

Williams Green

Pilton Palais

Shangri La

Arcadia

Block 9

Beat Hotel

Glasto Latino

Unfair Ground

So by my calculations, the "full" lineup should be out somewhere around the 20th.

Christ, what a sour faced woman. Even if I were stupid enough to park myself at the front all day and put myself through acts I didn't like just to get to the one or two I did, I would try to enjoy them as much as I could, not just stand there looking stony faced and miserable. I bet she's just an absolute joy to be around.

I take your point, but it's the fucking VACCINES! And that sounded worse than all their other songs.

I'm waiting for Foos on BBC 3 (doubt I'll see them but thought I'd give one of their live shows a go, so to speak) and have to admit, Swift is a decent performer and singer compared to some of her contemporaries.

Would go down well at Glastonbury I think, and a bit bemusing that she's not there. However, looking at the crowd is scary  Plenty of those types at the festival though if the Nick Cave crowd prior to Mumford and Sons is anything to go by.

Taylor Swift is killing it ar R1BW.

Glastinbury missed out Glasto this year (If she was available), fucking amazing

Yeah, I'm just watching it through now and it's making the fact that she's not going to be appearing that much more difficult to take, really. Given some of the responses I've seen to the dates she's done thus far on the tour I wasn't expecting it to be this good.
