I'm borderline addicted to this thread now, and the weather reports in general. But when the reports are bad I go on a downward moany spiral and start ranting on about "bloody weather" etc. Is it too much to ask for some dry days in summer?

This.

It's from the met office so probably as reliable as any other report. Seems to be keeping with the general Sun & showers theme.

At least they are not reporting an epic mud bath like most other papers would at the first mention of rain!

Plenty of fingering talk in here. Which reminds me, Is that micky flanagan fella playing the comedy tents this year?

This is my first festival outing since the floods of kendal calling last year. I've got the weather fear :-(

I really struggled to see out Kendal to the end last year.  It was not a happy time.

Copied and pasted from the article

Speculative forecasts have had ticket-holders worried about the prospect of a bud bath as well as an oppressive heatwave.

Bud bath? Someone on their team has a sensi of humour   :)

I'm still not freaking out yet - the one constant so far is that every forecast for the festival itself is inconsistent, and all of them are predicting that the week+ before the festival will be hot. Jackone, Accuweather, MetOffice, Festiweather etc are all over the shop.

I'd imagine this weekend/early next week is when we'll start to see a trend emerging, but either way it appears that whatever happens, we're set for dry/warm weather *before* the festival, so hopefully the ground holds up if it rains.

    • Seems the addition of the Sun Stage area is interesting. Suspect this is the area where the Stage 4 used to be pre-2024. Looks as though they want to try create some space to keep people in amongst the arena post-headliners, rather than just crowds all descending back on the campsite entertainment at once.
    • 2000 Trees - 3 Day Tickets on Concert for Carers to buy (pair £15) sure they will not have them for long, I cant check if they are still available as it now says I have already bought tickets.
    • times and technology has changed , a pyramid headliner is often about the show thats put on as much as the music like it or not and as much as many would like to you cant really blame an artist for trying to get the best out of the set both for the audience in the field and for the cameras also .... Beyonce was 15 years ago
