would rather have One Direction headline if his performance is anywhere near as shit as it was last year

haha

Listening to his Bonnaroo show right now, we did get slightly short changed but it still wasn't as horrendous as some make out.

I'll take steely dan, todd terje, nero, caribou, ratatat, belle and sebastian, desperaceidos, erol alkan, st lucia, run the jewels, madeon, charles bradley and john talabot with st vincent and royal blood returning. Bloody hell - that's the most a coachella line-up has ever been to my taste.

May also be worth noting that's another couple of dates where phil selway will be away from radiohead duty... which probably makes them (very) marginally even less likely for glastonbury.

His name is Terje Olsen. His brother Olaf has played the drums when he's had a band with him, so I suspect it's his normal band. Here they are doing Inspector Norse last year. Check the dancers from 2:00, they'd be great on Other/West Holts...

Mother of God, we need that at Glastonbury. I can only read about half way down each day before it starts doing my eyeballs in, but the only name that stood out was Tood Terje, then Brave Sir Robin posted that and I wanted it even more. Coincidentally, I was listening to It's Album Time when I booted up the boards and saw that line-up. To sum up, Todd Terje for Glastonbury, please.

Yep. Kazabian are also rather low in the line up over here, comparead to them headlining Glasto :fie:

Proves the point you can't normally use an artist's billing in one country to give a clear indication of where they'll play in another...

From this... Sylvan Esso would be great on West Holts/Park. Jon Hopkins again would be lovely. FlyLo needs to happen. Mac DeMarco, Panda Bear and John Talabot.

John Talabot (saw him NYD and he absolutely smashed it)

Incredible, wasn't it? Made everyone else that night look terrible in comparison!

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
