When I arrived on Wednesday my shift had changed to Thursday evening at Hidden Wood, finishing at 11.30pm. Wish I could have met up with you all but hope you had a good time. My shifts are done now so bring it on!

They've just been going round the campsites warning people to peg their tents out properly and get everything covered before torrential rain and heavy winds later tonight!!!

Never had that happen at a festival before haha. :-)

I'm amused to see several performers (inc Bellowhead) describing Boomtown as the 'least well organized festival ever'. Sounds a bit of a 'mare from the artists' POV. Hope you punters are all having a better time of it - take good care in the weather!

Yeah I would agree, it's an absolute shambles!!

I'm having a great time but everything has been late opening, there have been sound issues all over the place and no one seems to know anything. If I was performing I would be a bit peeved I reckon. I watched Bellowhead last night and their frustration was very obvious, I'm looking forward to being able to hear them properly next weekend in Cornwall!

Still, the show must go on!

It's fine!!! It was a shambles until yesterday morning but they seem to have pulled it together now. The current issue is that there are very strong winds causing trouble, I just saw the aftermath of a sign falling on a ladies head. Ouch.

The main stage is currently shut and no one seems to know if it will reopen.

Lovely Efests folk can you do what us without 3G can't and keep an eye on the situation, posting updates here?

My reason for being here is to see The Cat Empire so if they are moved to a new stage, or anything at all happens involving them can someone stick the info here?! There aren't screens here so info is hard to come by.

I worked a night shift stewarding on the Thursday so was absolutely fucked on the Friday, to the point where I'd be sat towards the back of a tent or stage and would just zone out or just shut my eyes for a few seconds and every time I 'came round' there'd be a group of really concerned looking people around me

But for here it's fair to add I asked my mate who went the year before to compare Glastonbury to BoomTown and while his answer was rather frustrating I must now repeat it... Boomtown is just Boomtown, they don't compare other than each is off the scale, just on totally different scales.

I feel like I should be more hideously broken than I am, but it's not hit yet. FWIW from punter perspective they seemed pretty well organised with some delays getting going but seriously if you'd seen what they DO.... pulling it off at all is a miracle, and recovering from downpours and storms and being back up and everyone pogoing with excitement by not much after midday is no mean feat
