Has anyone used the stubhub site before? There's a ticket on there for £30 but there doesn't seem to be any seller feedback or anything.

they've actually improved HUGELY in the last week - there's less than one quarter of the rain expected now to what it said less than a week ago.

it'll be waaaay less than a hurricane, it'll just be a bit of bad weather.

If it even hits at all. Latest suggestions are that it'll go more over France than the UK.

It's nice weather today in Winchester. Slightly cloudy but warm and sunny, quite humid though. The forecasts do seem much better than before, wouldn't be surprised if Sunday was drier than many are saying aswell

You might want to keep an eye on the weather forecasts berfore you commit. Next Saturday is looking mightily scarey.

A word of warning from someone who has been at Matterley Bowl during a proper drenching ... do NOT camp in the camping areas in the dip around the bowl - it will turn into a river, a proper, flowing river!

Could you expand on this? Do you mean anywhere on the sides on the bowl? Or in the flatter part at the bottom? Or is there another dip on the top?

Maybe better to just avoid the bowl completely and head for the flats elsewhere on the site?

the bowl is a bowl, but with the land rising in the middle of the bowl - which creates a sort-of valley around the edges of the bowl.

It's that valley you need to be avoiding, as it turns into a proper flowing river in some circumstances (as seen by me at one of the Homelands festivals, where the 'arena' marquees were sited over that 'valley').

One year got chatting to a young student from the local posh school , he gave me some excellent free pills.
