You missed my point but hey ho

I assume that means you were being sarcastic. In which case, I withdraw my riposte and ask for your forgiveness.

Never really enjoyed Foos much but they're destroying the drivel that's preceded them.

Yep, looking great tonight as always. Having seen them twice already I wasn't bothered whether I saw them or not even though they were great both times but that has put them back on my must see list. Grohl is such a great frontman, not many around today can hold a crowd in the palm of their hand like he does.

Dave Grohl being interviewed on BBC Three spoke that the band are discussing some "surprises" for their Glastonbury set.

Let the special guest speculation commence!

The Main Foo Dave Man showed up at the Macca show on Saturday night to gurn his way through I Saw Her Standing There.

As a massive Foo's fan (something that shouldnt be said to loud on here I know) I never had any doubts that they'll absolutely nail Glastonbury. Some of the stuff is a bit MOR on record but live they are a totally different beast, great frontman that knows how to work a crowd, songs beefed up and extended to suit a live setting, lots of songs everyone knows which is whats needed for a great pyramid headliner.

Its been 10 years since Ive had the chance to see them, between kids and work Glasto is the only "gig" I get to go to most years, so I cant wait.

Agreed. I don't listen to their studio work but the two times I've seen them live they've been excellent as they will be at Glastonbury. Seeing them last night makes the clash with Hot Chip (which is where I'll be) really quite annoying

Foo Fighters opening with Everlong? The song they've closed with for years?

I'm all for them doing something completely mad like this at Glasto!

And Muse opened with Reapers! A song that is normally played late in the set! Mad scenes at Big Weekend; not sure how I'm still standing!

Gutted for the people who went to the Sunday show. I was saying to my mate before the whole gig started that Foo's should be in the country around now and Dave wouldn't shock me. As soon as he said about a surprise up and coming guitarist coming out to play I knew it was him.

I am looking forward to Foo Fighters at Glastonbury. I always enjoy their shows. Really liked that tv show they did at the end of last year. Was a good bit of music history.

I was sure my booing was loud enough to drown out anyone there that was genuinely pleased to see him, but I've watched a clip and you can barely hear me :(

    • We head out in the morning. Couple of nights in New York then up to Boston. Enjoy the games lads and hopefully we get some great football to take our minds off the whole shitshow off the pitch.
    • White Stripes/QotSA at Harewood 2007, Tramlines (and Blue Dot, same weekend) in '23, and Elbow at Jodrell Bank '13.
    • Yeah exactly, the shock moments, group layouts, etc all end up playing out differently once you get into the tournament. However you tweak it, you don't predict shocks.
