You know what (and I think many will be in the same boat here) im not actually that bothered about the 3rd headliner I just want the rest of the lineup so I can start getting really in the mood checking out different artists, doing the spotify glasto playlist thing decided who I want to check out etc etc, you know what, fuck the 3rd headliner, make it a tba if you have to eavis just give us something to get excited about ffs!

This is a true story, I just need more info, I like to focus my listening on the run up. Did it for Skrillex's new album last year and it made the while set just that bit better.

hmmm .... someone has just said something to me which suggests its not Prince, tho that could really be the result of keeping up deceptions.

But anyway, who else could it be that's be that's a massive act, a solo(ish) star, and an act they've been after for years? Give me names, people!

Ed Byrne.

Don McLean? ... Just watched an article on the meaning of American Pie lyrics and got me thinking.

I know he isn't really big enough to headline, but him and Madge could do an extended 2 hour version of American Pie and give Glastonbury the biggest singalong of all time!!

He was very enjoyable on Sunday lunchtime a few years back, although American Pie did feel like it went on forever.

Maybe Liam Gallagher is going to launch his solo career on the Pyramid Sunday night, playing all the songs he wrote for Oasis, including Little James. Twice.

If we're opening it up to the fairer gender, Madge, Kate Bush, Rihanna, Kylie (!!) all fit in... they've booked Kylie yonks ago aye?

Pretty sure Neil did imply it was a male artist earlier. Unless I was actually being sexist and that's what I got from the post. :P

Unless it's a massive solo star who has already played, I can't think of anybody other than P*****. Anybody realistic anyway, don't think Kate Bush/Adele fall into that category for example.

EDIT: Florence certainly doesn't fall into 'massive', 'have been waiting ages to get her' category.

It'd take a lot to beat Dolly with Jolene last year!

Bollocks, lunchtimes over. I'm doing overtime tonight as well. Nevermind, I'll just have to sneak on here from time to time, this threads getting very interesting right now!

    • Yeah definitely this. Memorable past experiences include seeing Yo La Tengo at Cupra at night in 2022, or Beach House at the now defunct stage I forget the name of, or TV on the Radio at Cupra last year. A 2:30am Slowdive or Water From Your Eyes set would’ve been just the ticket
    • I want to chime in here and say that I think Simple Minds must be one of the more underrated bands of the 80s honestly. Empires & Dance and New Gold Dream are phenomenal albums. And two of my favourites of that decade in any genre.
    • Same, same. I am doing this for few years. Always works. There are some exceptions when the area completelly packed (i.e The XX this year), but even in this case it is much easier to walk from the right side.
    • You don't have to pay for an additional ticket but the front barrier at least is all controlled by security and a lot of people stay in there for the bigger acts so if you don't get there early enough you risk not being in there.   There is an option you can pay to have fast lane access priority which they suggest you arrive 30 minutes before a headline show but the first two sections are still even for them based on capacity. I did read that it's going very corporate and becoming too money money which I agree to an extent. There are points on the two biggest stages where not only accessing these bits is priority but dedicated quicker and direct access points for them too....but at €225 for the weekend I'm not sure I want to be pulled into that. I went with Three Days Grace, Linkin Park and Maiden being my must sees so I did what I had to for the latter 2 to get in to where I needed to. You do that too much though and it'll cost you your overall enjoyment of other bands there.   As an overall experience, it's definitely overrated to what I thought it would be. I will vouch for the food being decent.    The reason I haven't just gone in a bought too is because of the extra shipping fee and then selling it on if I didnt go. By QR code its easy to transfer like, but its a lot of money to commit that it might need selling later and to sell a ticket, £300 in fact. Hopefully they won't be the only festival to get Foos while not confirmed yet and Blink. But the Blink pulling power alone is there to be seen.
