If I were in charge Beck would be the Sunday headliner

I'd love that as well.

But the truth is a load of people wouldn't be interested enough and it would probably sink.

The man is class though... hopefully he pops up somewhere he'll be appreciated over the weekend.

I thought his set at Electric Picnic last year was the pick of the festival

this thread goes in circles

"Are Muse available?"

"Has anyone discussed Noel Gallagher?"

"Possibility of the who?"

"Michael said xy&z last year"

"Are Fleetwood Mac actually ruled out?"

"Possibility of Paul McCartney?"

"No one has mentioned AC/DC here?

"Is there a chance of Muse?"

Thanks for making a summary of your posts ;)

I think Foals subbing Kanye is a really good shout.

It would be fucking terrible!

wouldn't expect the album to be out until late this year, or early next.

No reason they couldn't have written the songs else where and only take a month or two actually in the Studio. Striking while the iron is hot, so to speak.

Didn't Iggy make some sort of racist comment last time he played Glasto?

Will suit the Kanye petitioners then? :P

Eavi to be brave and Foals headline, their Muse 2004 moment.

T-Swizzle to sub them to make it look a strong day regardless of Foals being smallish (with another sub sized act playing third.)

She made a guest appearance with some DJ at Ultra Miami one year too. My mate was talking about it the other day.

Pissed some people off, too. Obviously.

Yer Deadmau5 had a big twitter rant about despising her after it or something and then again on another occasion.

Then I watched that Tidal press conference yesterday and they were next to each other on it and they had a hug.

I've never seen something as cringey as the end of that conference, I hope Thom Yorke sues for them using The National Anthem without permission

Matt, you rubbishing Foals picture is rich, given your comments in a nothing photo of Robbie Williams

And whoever suggested Frank Turner and Iggy Pop as pyramid subs I must obtain some of what you've been smoking!!

Anyway, let's hope Madonna doesn't self confirm tonight and kill the buzz

Apparently the eavii were in a pub near pilton earlier and made somebody that works there aware of an announcement being made tomorrow.

I can just picture it:

'Glastonbury Festival Limited are proud to announce that tickey holders may now pay the remaining balance on hteir ticket purchases'

Some announcement...

You see, if we get pessimistic and beligerent, it might just tuen out to be something, anything, we've been waiting for!

Ben

    • Elastica posted last night teasing a return, wonder where they would play if they reformed?
    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
