I'm calm now.

Now for some good news. Tour dates below the video. :P

Thank you for this, sounds like something for me too. How well known are they, i.e. what likely Glastonbury stage would they be on??

(Similar to Syd Arthur)

John Peel or William's Green I reckon. The latter had quite a lot of psych type stuff last year.

Yeah I'd earmarked them for William's Green but they seem to be in some demand with them getting slots at big festivals so I reckon they'll be early on the John Peel Stage. I hope WG do another psych day though - however Saturday seems to be filling up with good acts just like it did last year and I couldn't spend too long there so fingers crossed for Sunday or something.

They'd be lost on John Peel, hopefully Park to be honest, or Williams Green.

They would be a much more suited to the park.

Not sure. When an act has a certain amount of reverb I instantly think they'll probably won't be as good in the daylight on an open air stage, whereas John Peel does a better job with psych-rock type stuff.

Yeah I agree, I'd say they suit John Peel better. Suppose they could play John Peel early on and then Williams Green at night like other bands have done.

Man, these King Gizzard cats have really got it going on, haven't they. Had written them off as some sort of Tame Impala thing, but this is a stone groove.

They're pretty prolific at releasing new records.

I was a relative latecomer to their stuff, but like many others on here, was quickly hooked.

A must see at Glasto I think

John Cooper Clarke is just down the road on the 25th June in Ivybridge.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him appearing as well. He's good mates with Mike Garry as well.

Yep. When I saw JCC, I saw Mike Garry as well. :P

I think at this point it's a given that John is at the festival annually isn't it?

    • They are going to have Blink 182 for sure, early June upto around Werchter weekend I'd say for them. Two of Sweden Rock,  Greenfield and RFP are going to miss out.
    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
