Amy Lawn
Can't even follow a simple narrative, what a sorry state of affairs.

Just another two/three years until we hear album #6 and can establish whether Arcade Fire have completely lost it or not...

Their live show is still one of the best out there.

Yeah I'm probably being unfair as I know from experience that they're still a tour-de-force live. It's just a shame that their setlists are gonna get more and more clogged up with so-so new material until they become a nostalgia act and stick to mainly old/good stuff. Although after seeing that setlist, maybe they're closer to that point than I think. But ignore me - I've become incredibly cynical in regards to Arcade Fire after being so disappointed by Everything Now. They're really not that bad I suppose. Odessa
I would expect on the next tour they'll do 3 or 4 EN tracks, tops. And there are easily 3 or 4 great songs on there, so nothing to worry about.
willutalk
So pleased they do Intervention still! Such a cracking track, hairs stand on edge moment everytime
karaseen
Everything Now grows on me the more I listen to it. HATED it the first listen, but Creature Comfort is a tune!
evilduck
The good songs on EN are really good. They still crack out a whole bunch of old songs at their gigs too so I'm content with them for the moment.
DownboundTrain52
Come the next tour, I'd be happy for Everything Now, Creature Comfort and We Don't Deserve Love to stick around in the setlist.
Simpo
They've played such a variety of rare songs this year. Just checked, 50 in total, plus 9 covers. Well played AF. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/arcade-fire-6bd6ae92.html?year=2018

I consoled myself by thinking that the NEVER play it. Then they did in Prague this year. Should have gone to Prague. Been meaning to do that anyway. Hugh Jass
As others have said they're still phenomenal live, the Castlefield gig last year was the best I've seen them, but the albums are coming in to increasingly diminishing returns. Homer
I still remember when there was a serious debate on this forum about which is the better band: arcade fire or Kasabian ?

Mash011
Are y'all really still debating Everything Now? I thought we'd all accepted that it was actually good a while ago.

Long live Arcade Fire, a great band who will never drop off.'
