Obviously we're talking about personal perspective now, and from a fans point of view, but The Cure and Radiohead (you love it really Nal) would be two. I'll try and think of more when I can actually think of acts with enough consistently good material, i.e 7 or 8 records.

Yeah, for me, it's not just about quality of material, if you're determined to play a long set you need *variety* within that material.

and that's kind of where the cure fell down for me. There wasn't enough variety in tempo, in sound, in styles.

Very pleased that the Stones rumour has been quashed so quickly.

There is already enough pressure on getting tickets!

Personally I would be happy if the bands were tucked away in a quiet corner of the site that you had to queue 2 hours to get into while the rest of the site was turned into one big Shangri-la.

Seriously though I would be happy with

Elbow

Kasabian

A surprise

It will be less than a year to go from the 26th June!

I meant to say for daft punk to be on the same day as gaga on other stage, radiohead dont really do it for me i know its cliche but i find them so boring, have tryed to get into them as alot of my friends like them but just cant!

Easy, replace Gaga or The Roses with Radiohead.

No, just doesn't work like that for me, even a band with a decent back catalogue, even a band I truly love.

Serious question, think of a band, any band that you last listened to for 3 hours without any break, without stopping to do something else, without wandering off for 10 mins.

I don't think it will happen for a few reasons, but logistically it makes really good sense, will split the crowd nicely, choice of different acts, I think it would be a well balanced thing to do.

Still not convinced that in a years time, the Stone Roses will be that big a draw, though.

Efests know enough to move The Roses from the date to be said page to the sunday, still only an R mind but no reason surely to do that unless info.

Doh!! That was me reading 'stone' and not anything else.

That was meant to be me making The Rolling Stones as rumoured for Sunday. Despite the denial, I can't and won't take that denial as being believable. On top of that, I now have a bit of extra info.

Meanwhile, I also have some new Roses info. They're now marked as a strong rumour.

    • Hot on the heels of outdoor gig number 1, the second arrived quickly! Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Malahide last night (lovely sunny evening for it!). As usual, fantastic gig (ebbed and flowed from tender to feral). Since they aren't touring an album it was very different to the Wild God shows from last year, with a bunch of tracks that hadn't been played in a good while wheeled out. Highlights for me were a blistering rendition of Hiding All Away (that merged into the end of White Elephant) and a touching interpretation of A Rainy Night in Soho to close the set (well after curfew!). @Superscally, still nothing from Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! (they really must not like that album!)
    • I’m putting the 2026 code and it’s not applying the discount. Does somebody know why?
    • I think I’ve asked this before, but do we know why this is a ‘never happen’ one? I understand with Queen and Duran Duran, but I’ve never seen anything written saying one way or another if they’d do it. Would be an incredible get.
    • Here we goooo!   I never thought I'd say this at Prima Porto, famous for its rainy weather... I wish it'd be a bit colder ;D
    • I saw an interview the other day with Simon and he was asked about Glastonbury legends spot and he did say they consider themselves headliners and also said something like "The legends slot is a kind of headline slot" The actual wording might be slightly different but it gave an indication that maybe?
