For me personally it has always been the quality and the variety of the undercards that has brought me to Primavera every year since 2016 and that makes this festival unique. Very seldom spend any time in Mordor except for a couple of concerts each year. Hopefully they will be able to put together a great collection of undercards next year as well.6 points

Fred Again.. confirmed for Way Out West. Surely tbc for Sziget after those hints here.6 points

no hints whatsoever for long so let me please bring up my roman empire. should I move on? probably will I? never4 points

You and me both mate Blimey, instead of trying to stretch themselves so thin to sell as many tickets as possible, they should just sell your Ts if they’re that desperate for the money. Brilliant that mate3 points

I don’t think there is any chance for a RHCP hat trick but if that were the case I’m probably the only one here that wouldn’t cry over it (especially considering most of the names I hear lately). And to be very honest if the alternative is someone like Ed Sheeran, bring me RHCP again and again and again… If I had to pick one returning big name from last year though, that would be QOTSA.3 points

I know we’re not supposed to admit this, but that Brand New set is the best headliner that never was for Trees.2 points

‘But, we all know what happened next, the world changed and I ended up putting out three albums instead, and I thought, ‘f**k that farm’.2 points

We simply don't know all the names available yet. There are three names (PJ Harvey, Pulp, Kali Uchis) that could be headline level (if maybe not in the #1 spot) in the mix as of now. Many fests like Rock Werchter, Pinkpop, Down the Rabbit Hole, Best Kept Secrret or We Love Green haven't yet announced anything at all. There are gonna be many more names coming up. Also, PS is often one of the first festivals to announce certain big names, f.e. The Cure have been rumored to play Europe in 2024 before and would be a good fit for PS as well as the aforementioned fests. And2 points

fronted by an abuser playing a festival that is supposed to be inclusive and offer safe spaces? I really hope not https://www.bigissue.com/culture/music/primavera-sound-misogyny-and-sexual-harassment-uk-festivals/2 points

apologies its a bit secondhand so ill quote ... Taylor Swift unlikely to ever happen at Pilton as although a fee was previously agreed , all other demands made by her and her management company were so ridiculous it caused disagreement with them and GFL .... I trust the source2 points

I feel like reading the same things again and again lol king have said on Reddit not touring Spain interpol are elsewhere at the exact same dates of Primavera. another 2/3 weeks before all these chats go away lol though I’m enjoying reading2 points

Or King Gizz have formally acknowledged Catalan independence and thus refuse to call their PS date a Spain show2 points

I don't think the booking proces has specific boxes like that to tick. If no legacy band like Descendents or Bad Religion is around, there simply isn't gonna be one. Still, its early and many bands that'll be touring next summer haven't been announced anywhere yet. I can see PS bring Bane, Incendiary or Gel in terms of Hardcore/Punk, but apart from that, I don't see many fitting bands around. However its not really a core genre, so they could sip it alltogether.2 points

I realised this after 2017 and ended up making my own for 2018 😂 felt bad wearing it in the end because I had 4 people come up and ask which stall it was at.1 point

As with Arcade Fire, Brandon Flowers wasn't exactly thrilled by the audience last year, but I doubt it means much. They play where their agents tell them to play.1 point

Sorry. I didn't mean to be patronising, didn't get my words out as I meant to express my opinion.1 point
-
Don't need patronising comments. I know promoters are trying to sell tickets, but clearly something has gone a miss given they released a record, did a handful of UK dates (that had a horrible atmosphere in the aftermath of the allegations) and largely fell off the map. Clearly a lot of promoters probably thought they weren't worth touching. Unfortunately they'll get booked again for stuff over time yes you're right, but some people won't forget.1 point

Headlined Cala Mijas last year and it was incredible. They also done a 2 stop tour before playing Bilbao BBK and Nos Alive (I think?) so they basically tour when they want. If they wanted to come UK, they'd still hold a very healthy crowd.1 point

I was there in 2017, lead singer was very unimpressed with the crowd, I specifically remember him stopping at one point and saying "We are up here giving you all we've got, but you have to give us something" so I'd be surprised to see them back.1 point

Think out of this list SZA, Paramore (considering they're in Spain), Jungle and The Blaze are likely1 point

Ditto, there's always a great alternative in the tent - on this topic I'd love Idles opposite Duran Duran, they'd be a riot in the tent1 point

Few issues with that leaked poster is as I said above it states Pantera first UK show in 20 years when it would be 23 years (I think) and Lonely The Brave have hinted they are being announced whilst they ain’t on the poster, and some of the order of the bands names are wrong, I think the poster last year that got leaked looked more legit as it had draft all over it and wasn’t as clear as this one now, guess we’ll see soon enough anyway.1 point

I can believe it, and it's sad really. She's not the only one of course. We should value those huge acts who are interested in what Glastonbury is and what it represents, rather than just the money (...the likes of Coldplay!)1 point

You would not have thought there had been a full leak last night, this place is dead. Guessing this is gonna be pretty poorly received.1 point

What’s the issue lol, you posted Halifax data saying prices had risen for a month and I pointed out they fell for 6 before that. Both things are true. Now you’re crying again and talking about where I live again as if it’s of any consequence to you. The day you stop being a mod will be a great day for the forum.1 point

You need to ask accessibility@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk this question as it's a new scheme this year. 🙂1 point

100% ruled out, they'll be in South America with four shows at least from May 31 to June 71 point

If they book hozier to headline as well as Duran Duran they better have some top tear in the tent at the same time so I can avoid both 🤣1 point

Her averaged out 2023 setlist (Would be quite different from most other Legend performances): Outside The Rain Dreams If Anyone Falls Stop Draggin' My Heart Around Fall From Grace For What It's Worth Gypsy Wild Heart Bella Donna Stand Back Soldier's Angel Gold Dust Woman I Sing For The Things Edge of Seventeen Free Fallin' Rhiannon Landslide1 point

I think Go Team! Would be a brave headliner for the pyramid stage, but I would actually go and see them over the other names being bandied about.1 point

I have tickets for Sunday at Live-is-live festival to see Smashing Pumpkins and i got tickets to see The Boss two days later at Werchter. Also in the bag are tickets to see Metallica, Coldplay (what can I say, I have a wife😆) and Rammstein before Graspop. Hotels, tickets and flight, all booked. Just need the RW and GMM crew to wake up to get me that little more excited 🤘😁1 point

It’s looking though the process has changed for 2024. Rather than send in copies of paperwork etc an application will need to be made for a Glastonbury Festival Access Pass if you do not already have an Access Card - https://www.nimbusdisability.com/blog/glastonbury-festival-access-pass-scheme/ https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/access-information/pa-2-for-1-ticket-scheme/1 point
