More death and Hamas still refuse to release hostages. Heroes!

People on this thread showing support for Palestine and disgust at the actions of the IDF have been very clear in their opposition to Hamas, so it's becoming such a weak argument, to the point of being pathetic to STILL make these comments.

You really should examine why your first response to literal war crimes is so grasp at straws so hard, it's honestly a really disturbing choice.

Bob Vylan helpfully explained what they meant by Death to the IDF at an earlier gig in May

"Punk duo Bob Vylan are being investigated by police after allegedly calling for “death to every single IDF soldier out there” at a concert one month before Glastonbury."

Bob Vylan were deemed high risk following a risk assessment process applied to all acts appearing at Glastonbury. Seven acts including Bob Vylan were included in this category and they were all deemed suitable for live streaming with appropriate mitigations.

Prior to Glastonbury, a decision was taken that compliance risks could be mitigated in real time on the live stream – through the use of language or content warnings - without the need for a delay. This was clearly not the case.

- BBC statement today

So, apart from Bob Vylan and Kneecap, who do we reckon the other five main stage acts were that they deemed "high risk"?

Someone in our watts app has submitted a FOI request … will report back

Kneecap won't have been one, as they didn't get live streamed. Presumably they were another category above.

Amyl & The Sniffers is a certainty for one of the others

I was at the stage for her statement and although it was highly politically charged, she was very careful and selective about the language she used. It was borderline, but appropriate and the establishment certainly won't have liked it.

Given that the BBC have come out now and made the statement indicating that they will no longer show 'high risk' artists, it seems to me that something more sinister has gone on here. Even I would have cut of the Bob Vylan broadcast if it was my decision.

It seems like the BBC have allowed it to fully play out so that they can use it as justification to remove the platform for anyone who is likely to make any statements against the "agendas" being pushed. Bad times.

Very sinister times, we’re in a “war” over our freedom. Think very carefully about whose side you’re on folks

Yep deliberate choice of words … I arrived after his set to avoid hearing him spouting divisive nonsense .

did he?

He mentioned middle east and Ukraine...didn't hear anything about Reform/Farage...I mean, he knows that wouldn't go down well...

Agree yet he chose to announce his support for them a few days before the festival …. No idea what he said as I wasn’t there

    • Playing a bit of devils, isn't that the case for any act? If you csn get a bigger sub or or 3rd etc the next will play lower. Tbh they would probably be best headlining second so in the kinda in between slot, that would be better. Get GC on second and Avril on main subbing Friday for Blink. But I'd expect it would be Avril sub and GC second another day.

    • We head out in the morning. Couple of nights in New York then up to Boston. Enjoy the games lads and hopefully we get some great football to take our minds off the whole shitshow off the pitch.
