Not that I know of.

I think Coachella only getting Nine Inch Noize and not even the full band is quite indicative that they probably don't plan on touring over the summer in the band formation. Not to mention they already played Mad Cool last year so I doubt Primavera would book them the following year after.

Something like The Cure, NIN, Radiohead or even Oasis for a pipe dream would sell out the festival i think, with a strong 90s identity, even if it is the polar opposite to the New Normal with no women or pop headliners

The festival is still gonna lean into its queer-friendly branding and reputation, so the forthcoming lineup will reflect that.

I do not think that one year without some very queer-oriented bookings will be the end of the world for the festival. It would be worse to lock yourself into that bubble and feel pressured to live up to that every single year.

It's not about very queer-oriented bookings. If Primavera spent their headliner budget on booking a normie name like Miley Cyrus again instead of The Cure or Radiohead, it would be well received by the LGBTQ+ ticketbuying demographic.

I would consider that a waste of money. My point is that Primavera should not have to feel pressured to do stuff like that just because it built a big New Normal brand. It's okay to deviate from it here and there.

 

I do wonder if, seeing how fast Radiohead's tour sold out, that Primavera could announce Radiohead so soon so that everyone who didn't get tickets for them would now flock to Primavera for it. Because it's still a lot of people left out.

This would definitely rule out Radiohead. Pretty sure the source would have been eager to mention them!

Regarding Radiohead, i think so too, unfortunately..

 

As for the xx.. I‘ve always loved their shows and it‘s been a while really, so to that I really am looking forward to. Can‘t say that for The Cure, who timewise basically take 2 headliner slots, and Gorillaz

Imo not that exciting. Feels a little sluggish but that's just me, though.

 

Hoping for a wonderful undercard.

The Cure - great band, never seen them live; Excitement level: 10/10

Gorillaz - my favourite headliner set of PS 2022 (W1), love The Happy Dictator; Excitement level: 8/10

The XX - they were OK in 2017, but because of the long hiatus and loving the latest albums of Romy and Jamie XX, I can't wait to listen to their new music; Excitement level: 8/10

Lorde - I like her but never managed to see her live, so fingers crossed for next year; Excitement level: 7/10

Lola Young, caroline - both are on my "to-listen to-list"

 

These are just 6 names out of 150 (or 300 when counting ciutat and small stages announced just before the festival), but I have a feeling that, once again, I will love the lineup.

 

No mention of Tame Impala so far is a nice bonus too.
