  1. For what it is worth, a few months ago I got to speak to someone in a working relationship with the band, and was told they want to take it easy these days, playing less shows rather than more.
  2. Not f**king around, Rock en Seine.
  3. In terms of music, perhaps, but not in terms of history with the fest, having played 3 times (at least?) during previous editions.
  4. Who is the Calvin Harris of this edition? Legit question.
  5. When Radiohead is on the bill, it's a matter of a couple of days. The rest of the time, there isn't that much hurry.
  6. Yeah but what about Arthur Verocai, he's due for a 5th no-show in a row
  7. For sure. A Primavera experience isn't complete w/o staying till the end on Sunday morning.
  8. Yeah, sure, it's been a long while, whether in DJ or live form.
  9. 100% ruled out, they'll be in South America with four shows at least from May 31 to June 7
  10. Yeah, more I'd say. Slowdive are hot property at the moment, it's possible they can can fill Razz in early February then Ray Ban (or bigger) stage four months later.
  11. On top of my wishlist for 2024: Arthur Verocai, who has been several times on the line-up since 2019 but hasn't played the festival yet.
  12. I agree, I was in stitches the whole set, BUT I can't help but remember his non-stop bantering caused the set to be cut by TWO songs! According to https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-strokes/2022/parc-del-forum-barcelona-spain-6bb43616.html
  13. NYT has an article (I've removed the paywall) https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/11/movies/talking-heads-stop-making-sense-spike-lee.html?unlocked_article_code=eS5DdC3s3dmFOmFrY-hNad1EaxvXSezl_DRrX3xEqAqaCK7PQhaeFK_Jtz5CeiMDRyk9tBvwhw_Fsw1J2m94A6c2u71DIlM8Q_9MjiJ-yd-8DLiNBTdnaQsIe2W2rnugu2y24Qe6bJ4ToT02r4oKGW8g83veR-e2XLb3uj_GvKaJZjLyVqDy6Qw-2ED0DqT6TNgzA7ykVBVUGWdl465oU51qUpTNBb0buvNJSuaTsShLBsCTstyjCh-qF7KO4Gzk6MJk_mQ28bVUhk973lIHtTFnFW5H1QBB0NEGBpFUBcju2rU7B4PlJnFhxG3tB9lYMbDd01PHtJF8VDYbAH3NCxtGJd-_SwHQrlF5bO38hv_JuQ&smid=url-share
  14. More people upset on Reddit because more people on Reddit, for the most part. Hundreds of positive messages have been posted during BCN.
  15. 10 - Depeche Mode second half, aka the hits section. Good crowd and quite easy to get close to the stage. 9 - Caroline Polacheck 8 - Rosalia for the "homecoming show" factor 7 - Unwound on Sunday, caught a flower at the end 6 - Gilla Band, on Sunday got to speak for a couple minutes with the singer post-show 5 - Fred Again.., most fun crowd 4 - Anish Kumar (DJ), a proper disco party at 8pm 3 - Japanese Breakfast for the beautiful smile and positive energy 2 - Karate below the solar panel, small crowd but true fans, the most welcomed obscure reunion this year. And best joke of the weekend hear from the 3 bald men on the stage : "Seen Shellac? How come they still all have their hair? We got started the same year. 1 - Bad Religion, had been waiting for 25 years to see them, i did not stop raging for a second and the people around me were the same. Greg Graffin now looks like Bret Easton Ellis haha Could have mentioned Blur but it was nothing new to me, New Order didn't play my favorite song in the world (Ceremony), and Joe Crepusculo on Sunday night was terribly fun (I got a highfive from him for my dancing. Ty ty). I've hated Skrillex's music since his very first record and I found myself having great fun during his entire set! Acts I regret not seeing: Liturgy, John Cale, Laurie Anderson, The Comet is Coming, Boris, The Soft Pink Truth, Death Grips. My final stats: 65 artists seen in 7 days, with 32 shows seen in full.
  16. Loved it as well. The whole night at Apolo (1+2) was ace.
  17. 1h15 Coco slot this year, by the way, way too short !
  18. I'm wary of trying because if I, say, leave Razzmataz 1 and go see Arab Strap in 2, will they let me back in 1 in time for Black Midi? I wouldn't like missing Black Midi...
  19. Reserved all my nights in a few seconds, no problems. I even managed to book Parallel 62 on Sunday (Gilla Band) + Dave P / DJ Playero later the same night at Apolo.
  20. This is quite the circuit: Buenos Aires (25th and 26th November), São Paulo (2nd and 3rd December), Asunción (7th December) and Bogotá (9th and 10th December) https://www.primaverasound.com/en/news/hola--colombia-y-paraguay-primavera-sound-amplia-su-ruta-latinoamericana-de-2023
