Werent they tied to a volunteering place at Wilderness or Shambala or something? If you did one, you got a glasto place as well - i'm sure i half remember something like that 😄
Im absolutely the same, i cant envisage paying over £100 for a while yet. Don't much like stadium gigs, i far prefer smaller venues, and while im happy to support artists financially, i'd rather do that through merch and CD's as well as reasonable gig tickets. If everyone pays £150 then more and more artists see it as an established price point.
The Pearl Jam gigs at Tottenham last year, i was hoping, would see something of a pushback - they barely sold any tickets, tried to flog em half price for a couple of weeks, and then the shows got cancelled anyways, with no word of a reschedule at all. Besides anything else, for a band who wholeheartedly tried to tear down Ticketmaster prices back in the day, to bend their fans over and try to squeeze them for £££ just really stuck in the craw.
