spotify has glasto as a genre now so its really easy to find all the acts. i was was listening to some of the park stage acts and there was a really cool japanese girl punk band. didnt catch the name. awesome tho

But does anyone have any recommendations of other bands or solo artists with those sorts of sounds? Would really appreciate some tips (I promise to be nice, even if it's something I wouldn't like).

P.S. Does anyone know why Drenge stopped doing stuff? A sad loss. First discovered at William's Green - also a sad loss.

Drenge were ace and I would say fit right in with today's guitar vibe

would love peace on the lineup somewhere, their new setup which I saw late night at last years latitude was absolutely ace. seeing them in august at a tunbridge warmup gig

Got em at Truck which I'm excited about. Met Harry in Melbourne on first album tour. Nice lad. Making it big or not really is so random.

That's a pretty cool website. 

 

When I checked just now though, it's changed slightly. Is it personalised for each person? On the Spotify app it says "Made for (my name)", but it's also supposedly the official Glastonbury playlist. 

 

Mine is below. Electronic has jumped up massively, possibly since Shangri-La got announced?

Just to get back on topic, and I don't know if it's what you mean by "guitar" music, but the running order of PJ Harvey > LCD Soundsystem > IDLES as it appears in the Clashfinder would be my Friday evening pretty much 99% tied up.

Throwing in another vote for Fat White Family! Get into the top 10 songs they are most likely to play on setlist fm. Their live gigs tend to be an experience too.

Also yeah i absolutely love Drenge, come back lads.

Guitar music gets a bad rap these days and it's been a bit of a laughing stock for a while. But it's good to see it coming back with Idles headlining the Other Stage.

Williams Green was so good for the lesser known but great 'guitary' stuff. One of my fave sets of 2022 was Penelope Isles at that stage. Id seen them before that in Manchester but they absolutely nailed it and it is a core glastonbury memory for me. Well worth checking those guys out if you've not listened before... still hoping they might get announced.

 

Love all the bands you mentioned, fontaines are un-missable for me, they keep getting better and better.

 

Would second watching Mdou Moctar if you want to see a very good guitarist and a brill live set, but it's not the same style as the stuff you mentioned so worth listening to first. Also second soccer mommy, skindred, alvvays, Fat Dog. Bob Vylan have some almost limp bizkit/rage riffs behind them too.
