I didn’t see any of it. Setlist below. Out of interest, what was Orange like? Was it Yellow in disguise? Mixed feelings about seeing them next month, I’d really enjoy half of the songs, the show is likely to be superb, but there’s plenty of doubts too….

Just need to bin People of the Pride and whatever was going on at the end and that’s a good time. Would love to see Magic live.

They ain’t singing about Luton on the pyramid 😂

Yeah, though that doesn't necessarily mean they won't improvise something else about ley lines or whatnot! 😁 Even U2 had the sense not to bother wheeling out the song they wrote for the festival.

Even in the audience it would have at least had a bit of relevance to make it feel slightly better to them than a tv audience with barely anyone having a Luton connection . Sometimes a mention of Glastonbury or wherever can have an uplifting effect . But the song choice would need a shed load more work than that abomination they played last night

Had been gearing up to “this could be an amazing Pyramid moment”.

But after watching that back, I’m not sure. All just felt a bit flat.

Granted a Radio 1 gig is infinitely different to Glasto, but I’m not sure I’ll be there to find out.

No problem with them spinning up something unique for the occasion. It was the decision to close with it that concluded the gig on a bum note.

I agree although they did seem to be struggling with timings and technical problems his wires  throughout and were late on , not sure if that impacted and they had to cut a song out the set ?

the wristbands in the daylight looked terrible. Luckily starts later at Glastonbury. The best for me was Wembley in 2022, was mid August so got darker earlier, and coupled with the stands blocking the light led to the full experience from the start

I'd almost been considering watching them on the Saturday as there are no other headliners I fancy. Looking at that setlist, Basil Brush's adult set in the Cabaret Tent may win out.

I mean, the set list is less than half of the time they’ll get at glasto, and it’s a £30per head almost charity gig. Anyone judging the set list in any sort of comparison to glasto is just bonkers

Yeah, they’ll play far more shite that nobody wants to hear at Glastonbury!

I've seen them several times but I suspect I'll still be there on the Saturday night. 2016 was a relentless muddy slog but their set was an absolute highlight of the festival and the wrist bands/lasers make for an amazing spectacle even if you don't care for their songs.

“Michael in D Flat”…most impressive part of that was the key change and the whole band just switching in an instant!

Stunning display of musicianship.  Even after one of the best gigs I've ever been to, this blew my mind.

Re: Coldplay, I'm really on the fence.  I like the early stuff - first 2-3 albums - and a few of the recent singles, but it doesn't blow me away.  The 2016 show looked amazing on TV, but in the middle of the crowd, a lot of the bracelet/laser/projection stuff would be lost on you, wouldn't it?  Has anyone seen them recently and would you strongly recommend or not recommend them?

With James being confirmed, I wonder what if Tim Booth will come out with Coldplay for a rendition of Sit Down? Happened last year at the Etihad.

Or maybe Chris Martin appearing with James for sit down?
