Long story but yes Neil sold the site, after a period of ill health during which it became increasingly clear in several ways that he was no longer a suitable owner/moderator,

it became increasingly clear that some people are not as open minded as they want to believe of themselves.

Obviously there’s a few months to go, but it probably means a replacement is on the smaller side.

There won’t be a mega A lister filling the spot.

So someone who is…..

A. Touring

B. Willing to do it/it would be a big move career wise

Step forward…..

Sam Fender

Reckon we have three major names right now to fill Neil's gap - Fender, Muse and Stevie.

Fender absolutely makes sense but again it would be unprecedented to have three young headliners.

Stevie would be an absolute dream and an excellent name for a veteran act with a crowd-pleasing back catalogue.

But I think Muse are a really good shout for it. Got festivals lined up for next year, a reliable headliner with many recognisable hits and an excellent show every time they've played. Maybe I'm biased because I am a massive fan but I think I can see it.

The 1975/Muse/O-Rod at the minute.

Bump up from one of the subs probably more likely.

I haven’t looked at their dates so not sure if they’re around but feels like Muse could be a reliant back up if they need someone in a pinch.

The 1975, Muse and Olivia Rodrigo still seems pretty well balanced

Their only dates are that week, last one Glastonbury Friday so far.

    • I mean she's never going to admit it, but of course she would do a deal...same as Labour would with lib-dems/greens if meant getting into government.
    • They probably do make more from the festival. But take a look at an aerial photo from any year - there's always a few fields that would be viable for festival related use yet are left empty. I guess they just don't want to deal with the associated hassle.
