Looks like I may well move from 1p mobile who use EE.  Shame as they've been great

Why would they go with literally the worst network going 😔

They will hopefully provide infastructure just like Ee have been doing …. And boost the signal From memory EE put up extra masts

And what’s the exclusive tickets thing about on the video ?

Probably to force people to switch carriers and to have a shot at tickets with a rewards program. I mean O2 has presale access for their venues so Voda doing this is pretty smart.

Voda must have paid a pretty penny to get EE out of there.

Exclusive tickets for their rewards members. Finally something worth winning. Usually a free coffee. Will keep eyes peeled every Friday now as a customer.

They say ‘exclusive tickets’ not a fan of that - unless it’s a small competition? Did EE give tickets out?

Yes, there was always an EE ticket competition.

Presumably whoever the “connectivity partner” is will provide mobile infrastructure that disproportionately favours their own network. So Vodafone it is. Anything is better than my experiences with GiffGaff.

I switched to Lebara (who use Vodafone) a few months back. Keep an eye on them, they regularly have bonkers deals. Currently on an introductory deal paying 94p a month for 6 months. Think it's 15gb data included. Coverage not quite as wide as EE, I do notice the odd black spot, usually in fairly remote areas but places where EE had been fine.

Obviously a business decision. Which network pays the most gets the gig. Or it could be that EE have decided they have taken the association with the festival as far as they want to.

Don’t these contracts run in terms of spells … so just presume that the EE one has run it’s cause and that vodaphone have come in with a better offer

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
