That Chic set was one for the ages. One of my most treasured memories on the farm.

I need this explained to me, though! What kind of bird is it?!

It’s swift, dont any of you on here ever watch Springwatch😉

AM's sleeping pill of a show will be a very easy skip for me. That new album is a turkey, and I stand by what I said 4 years ago in regards to TBHC - if it wasn't AM performing it, people wouldn't care in the slightest. In the same way that some Tool fans would listen to Maynard fart into a microphone for an hour and call it genius.

I honestly think TBHC is their best album and new one isn't far behind. Their early stuff hasn't aged that well for me, it sounds like cartoon indie or something.

I must admit, I know absolutely nothing but it did come to me via a friend I trust, and it came to him via someone would usually be well informed about these things.

He said it’s due to be announced next week; as I say I’m not claiming to have any insider track or anything, but if it’s real I would imagine that rules them out

He maybe got it from on here. Someone posted it yesterday I think.

Ah apologies, the lad my friend got it from works at the SoL which is why we thought he’d know; and when my mate asked him if he had any evidence he sent him that screenshot I first posted. Either way, I would still be surprised if they played Glasto

    • No worries, it's a perfectly fair question to ask. I would expect people to be talking at the back & near the bars & that is where I would want them to be talking. If your group are enjoying yourselves & the music & briefly chatting to say how much you are loving a certain song etc, you would be an ideal group to stand behind.   My issue is with people having full blown conversations (usually unrelated what is on the stage) whilst being surrounded by people who are trying to listen to the music. This was happening in the middle and towards the front of all stages, & so you have limited options to move around & you may have spent 20 minutes waiting for the band trying to get the closest position that you can. If there's a group of 8 people, there may be 2 or 3 that like the band & the rest will start talking if the music isn't their thing. This may be the norm now for festivals, and if it is, that's ok & I will focus on a band's own gigs & UK based new music festivals.    I'm also not including consequences of my own decision making. I saw Geese on Wednesday so went to Occident after Men I Trust finished so it was understandable there would be chatting that far back. Similarly, getting to The XX after Olivia Rodrigo along with most of the site, I knew my chance of a good spot & a chat-free zone had gone so that was completely reasonable.   PS. I went to Bilbao BBK in 2023 & 2025 & enjoyed it. For Pulp & Kylie in 2025, I got a position early & was surrounded by a respectful & fun crowd for both. The UK non-headlining bands tend to go on the undercover 3rd stage, & most people like to congregate outside so you can usually get close to the front of that stage.
    • Interview on 6 music earlier, was going to get the album to have a listen, but comes out the day they play the festival
    • Additional dates added already
    • I feel like it's not COMPLETELY beyond the realm of possibility that they could headline but I just don't see it.    They're not doing anything other than headlining. So nah, I don't see it.
    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
