But... It keeps the dust down?

Yes please. I need that dust kept the f down. My eyes got badly messed up on Saturday and Sunday. They didn't fully recover until a week after the festival. So any help with not going through that again is welcome for me (other than big rain downpours, naturally).

Kaleidoscope in Alexandra Palace, London cancelled yesterday as well. I live ten mins away (and was going). I suppose it’s on a hillside so pretty exposed, the site has a lot of trees and it rained all day yesterday, but so far today we’ve had a moderate breeze with a few showers and nothing more. Very sad for the organisers, small business selling there (and Hot Chip).

It's not as simple as that for some people though unfortunately. I wore a cap, used factor 50 sunscreen often, drank plenty of water, ate a balanced diet regularly, took shade but still suffered from heat exhaustion and really bad eyes due to the dust and sunglare. Even with sunglasses on I sometimes struggled to see the stages.

(*Couldn't delete that crying emoji for some reason*).

I dealt with the hot weather much better in 2019. For me personally, this year was pretty tough.

I think for us it was difficult because our shifts meant that Saturday was our only day off during the festival proper, & that was on the back of an overnight shift. The heat just after Aitch was too much & we’d wanted to go to Woodsies but had to hide in the woods instead! I had suncream, water, a good hat, but still my head was absolutely thumping! We really wanted to make the most of that day and just couldn’t. I was dreading our afternoon shift on Sunday but the heat calmed down and it was pleasant.

I mean, stop rubbing dust in your eyes 🤷‍♂️ I don’t know where this comes from? I didn’t notice any dust.

2023 was a washout anyway!

2010 All over again 👍🔥

I mean, I wasn't rubbing my eyes...

Wish I hadn't been affected by dust. Lucky you.

How was 2023 a washout?

I love the warmer Glastonbury's but had a few other issues this year unfortunately.

very few acts could get me to endure this kind of heat.  it's not humane

Luckily the gig was indoors. Just had to deal with the sun while heading over. And there was a fire and the smoke was lingering. How about 100 degrees at 11pm...

Certainly looking deadly in some parts over the coming week.

    • and still twenty one pilots must have a very persuasive management team, unless they are still rearranging the schedule, still seems really odd.
    • Phew, been waiting a while for a statement like this.     Well at least a few days since the last one

    • The only number I can find is 90k, but it doesn't really break it down in the way you're asking so it is up in the air in that regard. My only thing here is that I don't think Leeds is in danger or is flagging in sales. I thought last year had an awful lineup so I opted out but apparently a hell of a lot of people decided to go, so I really do believe it is just us lot all being out of touch with what the modern R&L audience wants.   I do think this year has a good lineup although I know a lot of people on here disagree with that, so I am gonna be there and we shall see what it is like on the ground this year in terms of attendance.
