If anyone is feeling too nervous to introduce yourself, feel free to PM me before* or during the meet and I'll come meet you and make introductions. I know a lot of the faces, once you start chatting, you're in and it feels really natural.

* By before I mean anytime between now and the meet itself.

will you meet me at my car and carry my stuff in?

I'll wear two hats for identification reasons, even though after 18 years of the gimmick, I'm starting to feel very silly indeed.

Hopefully nobody gets us mixed up as my festival headwear of choice is my cow hat on top of another hat which is technically two hats!

One year I got to within about 5 yards of the place and then lost my nerve.

Will see if I can actually be brave and come over this year.

I’ll be there and you’ll have met me already !!

We'll be there assuming our travel plans actually come to fruition and we make it from the US to Glasto.  Look forward to meeting you all even though I'm kind of an introvert and my wife thinks you're my imaginary Internet friends.

Well I'm pretty sure your wife is imaginary.

Guess you'll have to go to the meet and prove us both wrong.

I get in at 20.30, then gotta pitch up and so I reckon I'll be too late. Never been on a Wednesday so it's a shame cos I would have liked to pop down and say hi.

Worth a wander past if in the vicinity … I won’t get there till around 7 and someone else on here later than that … I think a few people stay late anyway

You are lucky. My wife thinks that I am watching dodgy x rated websites. I try to explain that my intense concentration and salivation whilst I stare at the screen is due to watching 'Glasto Vibes' videos etc didnt seem believable to her. You can imagine her incredulity now that we are into the realm of watching Gavs Weather Vids.

During the last Winter Olympics, I discovered an online curling game. Now, in order to “sweep” the stones into the house, one had to vigorously rub back and forth across the iPad screen. I was playing said game in bed next to my dozing wife one evening. My activities sadly disturbed her sleep.

“what on earth are you up to”?

”I’m curling online”

”Aye right. Behave yourself”

True story. She still doesn’t believe me.

For those that get the nerves. I was like it for several years. 2019 I actually went and so glad I did. it is tricky rocking up to people you only speak to online but it is easier than you think and you can always wonder away at any time. Like most of the festival you are chatting to a load of random but this time you have been doing that for a  while here.

You are a lovely bunch, or a bunch of freaks to be gawped at from close range

I will be there for a bit as I have to work, but will swap with someone to make it

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
