  1. Rodrigo y Gabriela got to be a good shout for Acoustic tent. playing Bristol on 23rd June
  2. Only saying what he said to me. Not sure why he said it unless he thought it was likely to happen.
  3. He said he didn’t like woodsies anyway. (I reckon they would be great in there) but was obviously a daytime slot they had been offered coz he said no one wants their music staring into the sun. He said they wouldn’t expect headline slot at glastonbury like primavera, but obviously wanted more than they were offered.
  4. Just saw them at same place today. Can confirm they are deffo not playing Glasto this year. Sounds like booking agent offered them a crap slot. certainly will play again in future. In his words ‘it’s the best place on earth’ sounds like they will be headlining Primavera this year. top fella, had loads of time just to chat to people and have photos etc!!
  5. Contrary to belief in these parts, the 'mythical' cheese winners do actually exist. Girl I know who missed out in the sale, has a shelf of Worthy Farm Reserve Cheddar cheese plus 2 golden tickets. She shouted about it plenty on FB when she won on the 14th, but she's not someone who frequents these pages.
  6. Trying to find a positive in this whole fiasco. At least when I fail in a couple of weeks time, I will have 2 weeks less to wait until the resale.
  7. Agreed. Sorry I missed him from my list of credits. Like the grumpy old guy who sits in the same seat in the pub every day moaning about everything. New people to the pub think he is a pain, but regulars love him and the place wouldn't be the same without him.
  8. Just wanted to add my thanks as well to all those knowledgeable souls who have translated charts and lines into understandable language for us mere mortals, as we have followed the journey of the last 225 pages. In particular @Sheffield Steve for keeping our feet on the ground with a more pessimistic view, and of course our cult hero @briddj. The dedication of providing such in depth reports after each run has been outstanding. We saw what happened to the forecast when you took a night off, so I think we can thank you for the great weather it looks like we are set for now. Special thoughts to @FuzzyDunlop . We know that its not the forecast that you were hoping for, but hope that you still manage to have a great time. You took some pretty aggressive 'feedback' from some of the posters, but took it all with good grace and that Glastonbury spirit that many people only manage to have for 5 days a year. Wishing all of you heading off soon safe travels, an amazing festival and I am sure we will all be back for the rollercoaster and knife edges of the 2024 Weather thread
  9. Not a knife edge in sight !!!!
  10. In the past they have had an allocated camping field for cyclists. Wonder if they could do something similar somewhere near Gate A for Thursday coach arrivals that they don't open until Thursday? Would mean you still have a fighting chance of getting a pitch.
  11. Yes I have done it twice and got on a later coach. Was half empty as lots of people dont take the return coach. (Only a coach to Taunton though so might be very different for those hardcore souls coming down from Edinburgh, unlikely to be as many empty spots on those ones)
  12. General admission this year, so won’t need your great hospitality of the parking place! can’t wait!!
  13. Sitting up on the hill on Wednesday evening watching the sun set (hopefully) and feeling that buzz of positivity as you are surrounded by smiling faces knowing that you have 5 nights of fun ahead and can forget about the real world till Monday!

    Resale Club 2023

I was one of those lucky ones in 2014 and bagged tix for friends that way, but I had a page tracker that was tracking the seetickets site every 10 seconds from the day after the initial resale. Happened to be in work when it went ping. By the time I completed purchase was gone again.

    Resale Club 2023

Used to be that they would just pop up on glastonbury.seetickets.com randomly in mid / late May, and be gone 2 mins later. They havent done them for probably the last 6 or 7 years now though so reckon your chances are negligable.
  16. Thankyou @mrfunk that URL meant that I had ticket for CV field booked and paid for before I hit 12.01 !!
  17. For everyone moaning about Seetickets, this morning I was trying Ticketmaster, Seetickets and Gigs and Tours. Got through multiple times on SeeTickets. Gigs and Tours is still auto refreshing. Ticketmaster I am still in position 128,000 in the queue. Yes, the main Glasto sale was a shambles, but judging by how the competitors deal with something so much smaller than Glasto, I would say lets stick with what we know, because the alternative could be a whole lot worse!
  18. Not sure how they manage to do it, but it gets more stressful every year!!! Relieved to say that one of our group managed to bag a golden ticket for us at 10.00am when we had all but given up hope. I am sure it helped that he is a scouser! Sending all my thoughts out to those of you on here with that dreadful pit in your stomach, knowing that you have got 5 months to wait until the resales. Don't give up hope. As someone who has often had to do battle in the resale myself, it can happen, don't lose the faith, though totally understand that today will feel like an absolute crap day
  19. Best Atmosphere - Sugababes (Avalon was rammed!) Slickest performance - Olivia Rodrigo (19yrs old but man she has got stage presence) Best new find - Oh My God Its The Church!! (Unexpected great fun with a mission statement 'Don't be a dick!')
  20. Monday morning sat at the top of the hill after another amazing weekend!!
  21. Micky Flanagan. Hauling a trolley with a kid in behind him on the Thursday. So he wasn't 'Out Out'
  22. Apologies to all for that then. Got someone at work a few years back to try it and he said it wasn't doing anything so mistakenly believed him. Having said that I can't believe the bus driver is going to be having a barcode reader when he is checking people on. (Never have in the past when I have taken the coach). He will be too worried about how he is going to get all the crates of cider and trolleys loaded. Literally just asked for your name as you are getting on the bus in the past. Last time the tickets were distributed by a massive pile of envelopes getting passed back along the bus and people taking their own envelope. Sitting at the back of the bus had a very nervous time waiting to see if my envelope would still be there by the time it got to the back of the bus.
  23. The bit that ‘looks’ like a barcode on the email is just a design thing, it’s not a real barcode. (Stupid idea really but guess someone thought it makes the email look more like a ticket) I agree with earlier poster that if you don’t manage to get anywhere with SEE, then providing you know what time your coach is, have got ID and know your booking ref, then you should be fine.
  24. Can I just say on behalf of the hundreds of us amateur viewers/obsessive who have lived the last 2 weeks+ on this thread, A massive Thank you to @briddj for turning greens/reds and squiggly lines into an understandable ‘it’s glorious / it’s crap / it’s a knife edge’ narrative that the rest of us can understand. Of course we all appreciate the input of@The Nal aka the grim reaper and @FuzzyDunlop aka Olaf from Frozen but on behalf of the rest of us @briddj you are our shining light of ‘what is actually bloody going on’ amongst all the other noise!
  25. Got the tent/coffin out of the attic and put up in the garden to make sure OK. Bought 35+ years ago for doing DofE school trips and still going strong. Hosed off all of the Glasto 2019 dust still on it. Would gladly settle for another dusty one this year.
