Think yesterday showed city are as good as anyone to challenge for the title. They are just unstoppable on their day, felt like they had an extra man everywhere

The one thing that's quite nice is at this point Chelsea have had harder fixtures and the next 5 are really kind on paper. Saints/Norwich/Brentford/Newcastle/Burney. Whilst the other big teams are all playing each other at some point

City have had Sours, Leicester, Chelsea away, plus Arsenal at home. We have Liverpool away next week.

I was surprised at Chelsea yesterday, but not by City. When I seen the teams, I expected City to win. Chelsea just reverted to long balls and did not really offer much.

It will be close this year, as I expect Chelsea and Liverpool to make small fry out of the lesser teams. United will be far too inconsistent. Their players are nowhere near as good as the media would have you believe and the manager is not good enough.

I support my local teams 🤷

Never understood that myself. Now I can understand city being your local club and supporting them.

But when you move areas like yourself supporting your local team. I have a friend that does the same, he is a boyhood Oldham fan, but when he lives in another area sports that team. Find it quite bizarre.

I watch a lot of telford united and Rangers, due to where I live and family visits. I wouldn't say I support those teams though.

It was a tongue in cheek comment, to another Internet clown, who has probably turned into a human rights activist, because the team he supports no longer wins everything.

I am a Manchester City fan. I supported them long before the takeover and if I live longer enough, will support them long after the current regime has gone.

Now we have spoken long and hard on here regarding teams links to funny money. All the top teams have those links. Yet, it still only seems to be an issue with City.

As for Taunton Town, I still want to see live football regularly. I will probably go to more away matches this season than ones at the Etihad. Not sure where you would want me to go down here. Would rather give my cash to Taunton that to Bristol.

Not sure why Fernandes feels the need to apologise for missing a penalty, people always have missed penalties and always will. This apologizing for mistakes/misses on social media seems to be creeping in to the game, I am not sure that is a good thing.

I agree, and stuff like this too!

Think saka missing that pen at the euros has changed things a bit - people acting like someone's nan has died just cos they blazed it over the bar in a league game

Probably because he knows Ronaldo will probably insist on taking the penalties now going forward

Nice one … I’ve never actually been to a match at the viridor stadium despite living here my entire life … maybe I should now 🙂

Madrid and Barca are in dangerous waters at the moment. They're awful with no plan in sight.

Who cares. It couldn't have been better scripted after last years super league debacle that a debutant from a country that doesn't exist would beat the main architects.

Anyway after claiming Real were on the verge of bankruptcy in April without the super league they still manged to pick up Camavinga and make a £170m bid for a player they can agree to sign on a free less than 6 months later. If they are intent on destroying themselves there isn't much else anyone can do. I'm still half expecting them to pick up both Mbappe and Haaland next summer.

Doing it the psg is the way forward, pick all these players up on free transfers with massive wages.

Yet your team is funded off the profits made from the exploitation of human rights.

Doesn’t that make you feel a little sick?

Nope, not one little bit. We have been through this a million times before. I did not give a fuck then and I still don't give a fuck now.

Do you buy any clothes from sweat shops in the far East? Do you buy petrol which originated from states who make profits made from the exploitation of human rights. If so, does that not make you feel a little sick?

Yeah I really enjoyed yestedays game. Salah is in the form of his life and you feel that Liverpool would suffer massively without him

And same as last week city are outstanding pretty much everywhere. People quite rightly talking about foden but Bernardo, rodri, cancelo all amazing atm. They're still the team to beat for me

Yeah I think it's fair to say City are the team to beat, purely due to their strength in depth. I would argue starting XIs are fairly similar but once you go any deeper into the squad than that City are quite a way ahead. I wonder if after coming so close last year their attention might go more towards the Chapmions League towards the back end of the season. Although as mentioned, they have the squad to fight on both (all) fronts anyway.
