If you're looking to splash out on something decent then similar advise to buying new boots. Go to a decent outdoor shop and try a few. What works for one person might not work for another. Having said that, as a very general recommendation, I'm also a fan of Osprey. They also have a lifetime parts replacement service. I bought a second hand day pack which had a broken belt buckle. Ordered a new replacement online. 30 second job to swap it out -

Come on Glasto and the bbc, get this camera backup and running. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms here, fed up watching the Glastonbury town centre camera. (looks drier this morning) -

We've camped in Paines for years and yes, it does fill up early on Wednesday. Depending on what size tent you have you might squeeze one in on Thursday but it would be tight. Plus it reduced in size last year, we lost some of it to Park staff camping (I think) so even harder to get a nice space now. We were on top of each other last year but there was a lot of us and we were happy to be together even if it was more squashed. A few years back we had loads of room but it has definitely increased in popularity.
