As I have said, my comment was not necessarily aimed at anybody on here, but there appears to be a negative told surrounding the whole vaccine rollout before it’s even been given a chance.
My comments were more driven by negative headlines such as the below:

A56F775B-450C-4884-AB1B-C6940E699742.thumb.jpeg.3bced03cd5d2f11b67a9d0254d006e18.jpeg

The choice of wording of ‘less than half’ is clearly aimed to show that the rollout won’t be the success that many are expecting. All I’m saying is, why is this not spun as ‘All vulnerable’ will comfortably be vaccinated by Easter, with this being extended to almost half of the population.

I hear you though I guess one justification is that people hear about vaccinations a lot now and if you ask the man on the street when we'll be done with them, I suspect most would say within 2021.

So there is an argument for using news to measure people's expectations to what is more realistic (if the predictions are realistic, that is) and they do at least come from a credible source i.e. a government agency.

Let’s not start questioning people’s mentality in their life without knowing why they might be feeling that way, it’s not really fair.

Why is it just you who is allowed to police what people say on here?

No one was questioning anyone's mentality in life. You are quick to shut people down when you don't like what they are saying.

Yeah today, Starmer is on fire.

makes up for that LBC interview sort of

He really is, he’s on top form today. Johnson didn’t have an answer for the Cummings question.

Johnson saying Starmer wants to impose ‘endless lockdowns’. Johnson himself has been the only one to actually impose a lockdown and the 2nd one was longer than Starmer originally wanted!

I think as they build capacity we could expect 200-400,000 vaccinations a week. I’m not expecting millions, this is a marathon not a sprint

I agree. Not me disputing that.

Even at the top end of your figures there it's going take nearly 8 months to complete phase aka the first 9 groups.

Some are expecting many millions per week, magical cures and it'll be over by Easter.

That was a nice moment, as we all had a good laugh at our PM during a pandemic. The house and speaker joining in too.

He’s a national embarrassment.

Who knows how long it will take but there's a clear path to normality.

absolutely! 🙂

Currently there's little reason to think vaccine roll-out for the oldies & vulnerable will slip much past easter (as long as there's vaccine to use), plus the govt is on the run from its own raving right MPs who want restrictions to come to an end asap.
