Ill be swimming over if I have to.

Was thinking about your reaction when you saw this lineup. Looks like Simon's been rummaging through your record collection, right enough.

Truman Show stuff yeah. Some beauties in there alright.

But more importantly, a load of acts I've never seen before.

Sleaford Mods on the other hand have been lower down posters for years and don't feel like a headline act to me.

They're headlining one of the nights of South Facing at Crystal Palace Bowl in August which is 5,000 capacity. Same size as the largest date on King Krule's cancelled 2020 tour.

Musically, culturally, and it'd have been good to get at least one female headliner - yes I know Stereolab has a female frontwoman.

Jeez can't believe we're here arguing about whether acts are big enough to headline or not after the year or so we've had.

Not arguing, just saying how I think Little Simz would have been better placed.

Excited for Stereolab, the other headliners are all a bit meh as far as I'm concerned but then I've rarely watched a Woods Stage headliner.

By the time the festival comes around people will be wondering why Little Simz wasn't headlining. She's about to hit the real big time.

Most gutted about Julianna Barwick cancelling, she was one of the acts I most wanted to see. Happy that bdrmm, John Grant and Hen Ogledd are added.

Can't wait to sit in a field and watch some music.

Stereolab are huge and fully deserve to headline EOTR - as big if not bigger in reputation than Hot Chip and King Krule... Sleaford Mods on the other hand is totally laughable. How they're headlining is beyond me.

...um...on a more sobering note, is this actually going to go ahead?

Easy to get carried away when the reality is EOTR is not awash with cash and won't be able to go ahead unless they are SURE the festival can take place.

Still feels about 50/50 to me...

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
