found home in 2009
I really loved the opening track to Songhoy Blues album. Real in your face banger start to the album. Rest of it is good, but doesn't feel like anything new from them.
dentalplan
I did listen to it when it came out and forgot it existed until the music video was released today but the new Royal Blood song - as much as I hate to say it cuz I'm a huge snob - is sexy as hell. If only they brought it out two albums ago.
Punksnotdead
It's a couple of weeks old but I haven't seen it mentioned on here - the new Emmy the Great album is a gorgeous thing. Get it in your ears! It's been a few years since she's been on the farm. Hope she's back soon.

priest17
Well Clipping wins the day, Jesus what an album. One of the songs sounds like he's rummaging through a drawer filled with discarded bands while muttering to himself and golly it sounds amazing. Gorillaz stepped up, knocked it out of the park Fuzz was fucking great, people arguing it sounds too much like a normal Ty album, they're not wrong and I've no issue with it. Twisted Ankle was surprisingly urgent for a band that released their last EP on 2016 and got lapped by a bunch of trees, everyone listen to it though. That's all I got today

CaledonianGonzo
It's funny cos it's true. This one definitely has its moments though.
FloorFiller
No love for Western Stars? Thought that was a great album. This new one is certainly standing out as the best E Street featuring album of his in a long time, although maybe that’s just because it’s the first one that’s come out since I became a fan - never gave his later albums much of a fair chance as my judgement was always clouded in assuming they’d be a bit shit. New’un got some great moments, especially for such a late career album.
dentalplan
He's obviously never going to be up there with 70's/80's Bruce again but the only actually shit Bruce album imo was the one he brought to Glastonbury and played three songs off of in the first half hour. If you like this album, you should like most of the 90's onwards stuff. If you don't, then you won't. CaledonianGonzo
One thing that sticks out on the new one is the Big Man Deficit. Jake is someone I love to see / hear, but you get the feeling he's not quite been allowed to cut loose.

zero000
New Boss is his best since Magic. Nice return to form after his last album was washed over.
zeppelin
The Boss gets an unnecessary amount of hate on this board, but from the usual suspects. I'm actually really enjoying the new Faithless album - much better than I was expecting it to be.

dentalplan
New song from The War on Drugs. It actually sounds way more Slave Ambient than Lost in the Dream/A Deeper Understanding, so should be fairly different to the ears of those who've never listened to that album. I like it obviously, but I hope the production is a bit more poppin' on the studio release. Edited October 24, 2020 by dentalplan
