Interesting....so I just checked the IP address of my laptop and my uni PC, which are both currently on the same Eduroam wifi, and they have different IP addresses (well, first six digits are the same, but the last four are different). So, I'm good to go with both on the wifi, right?

How did you check the IP?  Sounds like an internal IP address - it's external that counts.  Are they they same if you go here?

Yeh, I feel worryingly nauseous.

My friend just text me asking for our details because even though he doesn't want a coach ticket, he loves the buzz so much he needs the T-Day hit. Mental.

This is me, in work till 6 and just gonna have 5 minutes trying for a friends group I think. Get the buzz back.

I've got a few reg numbers for him if he needs more.

I would also like to know this.

So many variables, exit point, pipe back to the UK, quality of local network.

Just another thing that if it worked - 'best idea ever', if it didn't -'booo'.

I have access to one and I'm not bothering myself.

Still different :)

Maybe that's why universities don't suffer the same over refreshing fate as you might in a house - something about how the university Eduroam wifi works. No one would ever get a ticket in halls otherwise!

Thanks for that.

We have a few devices available so I am tempted to try one with the VPN just to see how it does on the off chance.

I'm sure it's been discussed hundreds of times but what's the issue with multiple devices on the same IP address? Does it just slow the network down?

too many connection requests from the same IP, gets you kicked out.

So I'm told - 60 per min max

Ahh okay, so two people trying in the same household should be okay as long as you're not going mad with the refreshing? It's just if you had like 10 people refreshing every second?

That's what I've picked up from here, but others disagree anacdotally. (?)
