tbf last time they played pinkpop they did wheel it back out again so it could make the cut. Still a bit of a rare one though. In The Cure terms, at least

Nah, Plainsong is a bad opener, especially if it is still fairly light.

19 singles mixed in with album tracks is not bad. If they mix the singles in more into the main set rather than in a block at end then it would be fine. Honestly though, it will be very hard for The Cure to please everyone.

The cure always start on a really long dirge - it’s like a rule.i confidently watched all of ride st Hyde Park even though they overlapped slightly on this basis - and the cure didn’t let me down!

Feedback from Dublin seems to be overwhelmingly positive. Mrs Nal went meaning she could see Janelle at the G but now wants to go see The Cure ahead and get in the pit.

Just flew back from Dublin yesterday, the set list went down incredibly well with the crowd and the band were bang on form, I think they will tweak it for Glastonbury as there were a couple of rarities thrown in for the die hards, they’ve got such a massive back catalogue that there will always be something that gets left out

You might be right, personally I loved it, but I always want them to open with shake dog shake, and night like this is my favourite Cure song,

Was also at the gig on Saturday. Was incredible! Played lots of hits and also some fan-favourites and b-sides. Robert seemed to be really into it!

To be fair they'd been rinsing pretty much the exact same setlist ever since I saw them at Reading in 2012, they had to change it up eventually.
