If its coming its a huge self-own not to release it before Xmas. Everyone is skint in January.

I remember back in 2017 a lot of acts announcing shows in January (Killers, U2, someone else who was at Hyde Park that summer whose name escapes me). But I'd be surprised if there's a big raft of people announcing dates in the £100+-a-ticket range this time.

I think we're done now for any major announcements until late Jan.

Do they play Piper at the gates of dawn era Floyd?

Yep.... everything from Piper up to Obscured By Clouds.

Not however convinced an appearance on the farm is likely any time soon as I get the sense that there's still bad feeling between remaining members of Floyd, including Nick, over being turned down to play before Rick Wright's untimely death.

I hope I'm wrong however 🤞

Arena stuff is getting wild. Depeche Mode had nothing below £100 save for some side-view tickets right in the rafters of the O2, which I just couldn't get enthusiastic about indulging. It's quite something you can get cheaper tickets for West End theatre shows.

Vast majority of gigs, I don't buy tickets right away and wait for cheaper resale. Or do casual bar work for bands I've seen before. Went to first proper show aged 15, hard to pay out in one go now

Yeah I can't see myself initially going in for many gigs because the money is just too much. Hardly anyone I want to see to the cost of £80+ now that I didn't see for £40+ that wasn't a better setlist with better material. It'll be twickets and spending my money on alternative things that are more beneficial.

    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
