I'm taking a mahogany-chested, windup grammophone and I'll be damned if security think they're taking that off me after I've humped it a mile over the fields in the heat. I'll get my granny onto them and she's a black belt in karma sutra.

Unfortunately I've run out of upvotes but I approve of this comment

Nah never an issue, I've seen people take multiple trolleys with crates of beer taped to them, but is at the discretion of the driver I guess.

Nope. The luggage almost always fills up long before the seats are full.

Good to know! Now all I have to do is worrying about carrying it :-D I also haven't packed everything in individual plastic bags, so that's gonna be fun...aint no way I'm unpacking it all again now though...haha

Right, I'm off to bed, as the alarm is set for 3.30am :D

GLASTONBURY IS TOMORROW!!!!!!!! :danced:

I seriously think a message needs to be sent to Glasto Ltd or whatever stating what ridiculous shit is going on. Not the searches but what's been taken or whatever. It's OTT

absolutely just what I was thinking ... before it gets ridiculous tomorrow ...any twitter experts on here ?

Dumping tents and selling on tix at inflated prices. Not exactly popular ethics round these parts.

Nothing mentioned at selling at inflated prices, Both tickets sold for each £100, which they were happy with. as for ethics, ive never been into any of that shit, only ever went to Glastonbury for music, that was enough for us,i do understand lots go for the hippy stuff, thats ok, but it has never been of interest to us, everyone to his own.  The tents were absolutley knackered, we took them down and dumped them by by stewards on way out. they were ok with this

They are not looking for drugs....

A nice bite of lube... Thumbit in and your sorted!!!

Maybe you're right and they're not looking for them, but what will they do if they find them? I'm fairly certain they won't be letting anyone keep them.

Apologies, I over-reacted.

It sounds like they thought it was a stash can and thought they'd nab it for potential free drugs.

No, was definitely confusion about aerosol cans being taken in.

Time to kill in the queues, lets hope. Will change when there are reams and reams of people coming through. Security searches are obviously for the benefit of all, but logistics will inevitably require it to be quicker. The festival will not want a repeat of the chaos last year because of the mud/queues on the roads.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
