Did she drop any hints as to there being a sub missing from the lineup last year? If not I guess that's one positive for people expecting a huge act to be added, as I don't think Tame Impala were rumoured at all at that point and yet she never felt it necessary to mention a big act being missing from the lineup. Gotta expect it's a bigger surprise than Tame Impala, at least, although I realise that's a pretty wide net still.

My first time at Glastonbury and over 50 and as I am going for the experience and not so much the music as I am an old rocker in my heart... I have suggested a few who are at best wishful thinking I am more excited about the reveal rather than who they are .... my wishes would be

Nah, unless I'm misremembering I think it was just due to guesswork and rumour we knew there was a sub missing without without it actually being confirmed in advance by EE.

Can remember being around The Park last year around midnight and saw all kinds of shenanigans being set up on stage. What was going in this late? Was convinced that this was the secret RH set...made my way to the front and it slowly dawned on me that it was the Philip Glass Heroes thing and it was starting as advertised.

Think I'd pretty much settled with the fact it wasn't happening come the festival (or at least given up looking at every act on the lineup hoping their name would be an anagram of Radiohead). Now that I'm with ticket for this year I can finally say thank fuck it didn't happen last year - get to see what we've all been waiting for this year instead of some weird secret/lower down slot.

Not sure this is specifically the license, but their operating conditions. I've only skim-read it but all I can see reference to is sound levels rather than specific stages and days.

Saturday night main stage subheadliner is the only one that's not been more or less guaranteed by other info.  Maybe Aldi Stuart Staples and the lads aren't in the Slot of Death after all.

If they're not there (they definitely are) and somebody else is above them then it pushes them and other acts down the lineup, and Katy Perry, Chic, Royal Blood and other acts aren't going any lower than we've been predicting I wouldn't have thought. I guess something's gotta give somewhere, but can't see anybody being added in to those top three tiers of the Pyramid.

Probs a silly option but Eminem? he has two shows in England and could he make it 3? or is he exclusive for Reading and Leeds?

I've not read anything yet which has changed my opinion that it'll be a 'bigger-than-usual' Other opener. 

Realistically it's the the only decent slot unaccounted for.

No way would he ever take a non-headliner slot - he's notorious for demanding big big bucks.
