Outside the box and has me ready to be shouted at - but what about this.

K-pop at Glasto?

Should be space for it somewhere being a world arts festival, maybe afternoon on west holts.

Actually I'd see some fun novelty like that as more of a proposition for Pyramid, Other, JPT or Park before WH really. But yeah, some K-Pop could go down well. IMHO the more variety you see in a given day, the better. When the acts are distinct from each other it means you feel renewed watching them and can remember what you saw afterwards.

I think (hope) there is a good chance Neil Young could be a possibility? Different band than last time and as far as I know bst isn't an exclusive...

Seems more plausable than the strokes imo

Keep this hype train in the station please, I don't want to go into fully Shakey-or-die mode and then get depressed when the Arctic Monkeys get announced.

Blackpink are at Coachella, so they do festivals. I might be in the minority, but I'd love a bit of K-pop at Glasto.

This may sound ridiculous, but Calvin Harris? I assume he would demand too high a fee and would rather rake it in in his Las Vegas residency slot all summer.

If he was going to perform his tunes as live as possible with guest singers then I would be happy to see him headline.

As a dj he's not worth the money.

Imagine this. The way to make the Strokes the greatest headliner ever. Ignore arguing over the order, let's assume the Strokes are headlining and acknowledge fans of the other bands will argue they should sub.

Saturday Pyramid:

The Strokes

Interpol

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Vampire Weekend

Some other good stuff

A hangover and a bacon butty

VW were bigger than Interpol. I would say Interpol would be above them at this exact point in time, but surely VW wouldn't show without another record that would bump them up to 2. Not the point anyway. I'd just rather have VW fourth so I could have my tea during them and not miss the YYY's ?
Just how brilliant would it be? Unfortunately days that make sense are very really the remit of the Pyramid stage bookers and life just isn't that cool anymore. Maybe in the distant past Leeds could have puled that off, but these days very unlikely..

    • Possibly not as there are chair size restrictions in the seated area, for the guidelines see here -  https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/bring   Have a look into applying for Access and I would recommend contacting them for further advice before buying a ticket - https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/access  They should also be able to answer if you can take a wheelchair into the seated area 🙂
    • Jawbreaker for the band that nobody would predict?
    • Jason Isbell and Blue October in London, both gigs on SFF
    • They don't strike me as a band that'd even enter the conversation for Trees
