If there's any truth in that tweet, it can only be Springsteen or Gaga

Emily said there was ‘a couple of blokes’ headlining. So pretty sure it isn’t Gaga unless Macca pulled out in the last week or so.

Why are we taking this tweet seriously anyway?

I'm just fretting to be honest, happened to me last time out where a strongly rumoured headliner I was dying to see on the Pyramid fell through. Can sense it coming again

No she didn't, she said a make artist was headlining  Friday but the couole of blokes wasn't in put a headliners...it could basically come down to Stormzy and Liam as people know pretty much anyway.

She then also confirmed that there are a “couple of blokes in next year…” and that “Madonna would be amazing”.

Well I am hanging out the window, but I can't go singing because we're spying on next door and don't want him to catch us. Weird kid has got a burn barrell and a load of targets in the back garden, reckon he's planning a murder. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Any update?

This is potentially far more interesting than Macca cancelling.

Cats are to remain indoors, because he has previous quarrels with them

I know...I'm saying there was never a mention of blokes headlining. All I'm saying is don't take that as headlining given fact as it could still apply simple to the two of Friday.

If she said we've got two bloke headlining next year and that Madonna would be amazing then yes but it's careful wording

For what it's worth I heard a couple tracks of the new Mumfords yesterday and thought it was alright compared to their old stuff. Not good, like, just less grating.

I can imagine. Everything I heard off that third album was fine too - like a passable imitation of The National - but I never listened to the actual album cos I have nothing to gain from that.

Mate mate mate mate mate.

I did want Mumford and Sons to be the third headliner so people would freak out and return their tickets and I could see the other two but Stormzy could accomplish much the same. He's probably even less popular with the Glasto crowd.

Why is the tweet given any credibility ....seems like anyone could say I heard this or that .

I don’t think it is being given much credibility, but its worth discussing at least, just in case.

The tweeter is in a band though (called Saltwater Sun, I’ve never heard of them) so I doubt she’s completely made it up. Someone’s obviously told her something - whether it’s true or not only time will tell.

Shame Country Winston and pals are busy on the Saturday. Imagine a trio of Stormzy, Mumfords and The Cure. We’d stroll through the resale with that.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
