I think it got a bit better but our tents were a mess by then - I packed up and left straight after Chemicals on Sun night and drove back to get home in the early hours.

i didn’t go back until 2013!!

The traffic was that bad?

To be fair, '16 nearly broke me, so glad that I decided to give it another shot.  I couldn't leave Glastonbury on the terms I did in that year and '17 was pretty much perfect.

Surely as they are Northern,  MOR would stand for Morrisons Overcommericialised Rock?

Do they not have Morrison's outside of the north?

Reading? You know we can't read oop north

I've retired to the country now, so I only leave the village at the end of June (except in fallow years).

Anyhoo, is anyone genuinely excited at even the vaguest prospect of Noel / Liam at the farm? Really? Haven't they just stunk up the place every time they've played (in whatever form)?

Between the both of them you may just get half an Oasis set.

Does mean sitting through the rest of the Brothers Gallagher though

I really enjoyed the last NGHFB album and despite him playing every town and country fayre this summer I managed to miss him, so I'd quite to see the WBTM stuff live. I'm not actually that fussed about yet another rendition of Don't Look Back In Anger.

The WBTM stuff sounds MASSIVE live. Fort Knox opener is a full on assault.

I haven't listened to his latest album.  I remember seeing him at Latitude in '15 (i think) and being quite underwhelmed by it, I'm guessing WBTM is a bit good then?

Just my opinion but I'd say it's his best solo album and better than the last few Oasis albums.

I caught Noel at the arena a few months back after a cheapo popped up on Twickets. Some of his solo stuff is decent, agree that the stuff from the last album sounded good live. No particular desire to see him sing Little By Little, Don't Look Back in Anger and Wonderwall again mind. Also left before the inevitable Beatles encore.

I just picture it being a bit...lumpen (not in the Marxist sense).

Liam, hands behind back, head thrust upwards, spittle everywhere, belting out Little James.

yeah, but it says 'next year', and that's 2019.

Noel has said he wants to play next year, and it seems to confirm that he is.

I guess so yeah. Where do you see him playing, Macca sub or maybe Other Friday opener?..

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
