Liam Gallagher

I was firmly on the Katy Perry train but considering how shit her new stuff is and how good Liam sounds lately I'm more up for this, I think. Could be shite, could be excellent but I reckon he's gonna play a few Oasis tunes and with a British crowd (only saw Noel in Belgium once) I'm sure it's going to be fun.

There is NO CHANCE Noel will be on stage with Liam.

Nil, zero, zilch.

This - there's absolutely no way, ever, that Noel's ego will allow him to walk onto a stage under a banner that says 'Liam Gallagher' - and vice versa for Liam coming on for a few surprise songs if it were Noel that was playing.

I look forward to the mass exodus at 21.15 when everyone realises that Noel literally just say hello and they're watching a film at headliner time.

I actually have planned to go just to see Noel and then fuck off to watch Dizzee Rascal because I have Supersonic on blu ray.

He'll play the 5 he's played at each fest so far.

Yep.  There's no point in going to see that, really.

Maybe he plays a couple songs?? It would make sense though  I doubt it.

No idea - but an intro track and 14 songs plus chat is well over an hour.

Don't think London was much more than 1hr 15 mins with a small encore.  Reckon he'll have to cut 2 from that list.

Wonder why he's limiting Oasis material to the first 3 albums? Thought he might have done Songbird at least.

No idea, but it's nice to see a couple of Be Here Now tracks in the setlist at the moment. Noel has erased that album from his memory when choosing his sets

Think that's specifically why he's been doing them - Liam was always a fan of the album. Noel was slagging it off by the end of 1997.

Haha I was just watching back on iplayer and noticed that!

I don't care what anyone says, I had a fucking good time at LG.

Yeah, I had a great time. A privilege to hear him sing Don't Look Back In Anger for the first time. Only let down was the sound wasn't great on the Other stage. Think they forgot to turn the volume up. New songs are sounding good live. There has been an obvious improvement in his voice at the start of this solo tour, good to see he does care about it and it trying to look after it.

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
