Metro e-edition.

At least they're doing a full tour this year and it's not like people have to go to that to see them.

Supporting bill might turn out pretty good. Kings of Leon oddly do get quite a lot of decent acts as supports and BST are more than competent of providing a cool undercard. Obviously wouldn't be into buying it but I could be swayed if this one lands in the bargain bin - fat chance tho.

Yes it Properly True as they have press release with an a time embargo on normally.

Green Day playing at Glasgow Bellahouston Park 4th July, with Rancid as a special guest, adds more weight to the fact that Rancid will be supporting them at BST.

Why not announce though if it is? Surely the more sales the better and it's the only place in England for a Rancid show if so.

They're not gonna lose out on ticket sales whether they announce it now or not. I'm sure they know what they're doing. There's a reason why UK festivals stagger their announcements.

Why don't R&L announce everyone now?

Theres no need to, they'll shift the same amount tickets if they had been announced with Green Day or if they got announced in 3 months time.

I hear Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are lined up for one of the dates.

Although their US dates don't really line up with the Hyde Park dates. I wonder if they are BBC Radio 2 headliners?

Lines up more with Glastonbury than BST so if it is a Hyde Park gig, then either Radio 2 or a Hard Rock Calling revival in August seems likely.

Actually, a HRC revival would be ace - and August would be better for me to take my folks too.

HRC was a Livenation event, and they've now lost the Hyde Park licence - so never gonna happen at Hyde Park.

It was moved to Clapham Common but I think it was axed last year.

    • Wednesday is a nice addition imo
    • Kronenberg in a tent as well IIRC but Brooklyn Pilsner was easier to get without queueing and was everywhere across the festival.
    • I think they'll end up doing something due to pressure and bad PR. Maybe they do a discount code for next year or bar credit or something along those lines.    I agree though. I acknowledge that the lineup is huge but surely you can't cancel 33% of the headliners and not reimburse in some way. Their insurance will probably cover their fees for MA, Doja, Bad Gyal and Mac DeMarco due to force majeure.
    • Looks like nothing for weekend ticket holders. You'd expect a goodwill gesture.
    • Enough has been covered about how much of a sh*t show that was, so I'll just say, Massive Attack and it's relationship with this festival (and potentially me) are f**king cursed.    They were announced in 2020 when I first got excited about seeing them. They were subsequently on the poster for 21, 22 and now 26. This time I was in actually in the crowd close to the stage waiting for them twice haha. I give up!
