in reality though the pages quite often take longer than s econd to load, especially when you get through to a booking page. Hopefully everyone with a refreshinator will miss ther pages :)

The point (and advantage) of the refreshinator is that you don't miss the booking page, the app stops refreshing once the page changes. I tried it out of curiosity for Stone Roses tickets last week and it works. I've been to Glasto pretty much every year since 2004, the first time I got tickets I spent 6 hours pressing F5 in the computer room at uni, last year tickets sold out in 30 minutes - times change, technology changes. This app has had so much publicity that everyone that previously couldn't be arsed to hammer F5 will probably use it now and tick Glasto off their bucket list. I'm still going to keep it old fashioned and F5 it but I'll definitely have the app going on my phone.

There's a key point you're missing though.....although the app will stop when a booking page loads it will refresh, because of the refresh rate you set, even if a page fails to load within that refresh rate.  It's perfectly possible therefore that it might refresh before you, or it, sees the slowly loading booking page that might be the only one you (don't) get the opportunity to use.

I won't be using it, I think there has to be a greater likelihood of it harming your chances than helping them, especially now its gained a bit of attention in the press. I'll stick to old fashioned F5ing on multiple devices, and hopefully luck will be on my side.

A couple of friends have dropped out, another couple are now maybes and 2 mates who hadn't shown any interest are now 95% they want to come. Too much stress caused by indecision! I've given everybody until Thursday to decide. The final cut off point!

Oh I hear you! The joys of being the organised one.

The app only refreshes the page every second, I'm pretty sure you don't have to have reflexes as fast as Mr Miyagi to be able to press F5 every second... There's no way See will know that you're using the app, if you wanted to you could press F5 several times in a second. The point of using the app is that it stops refreshing when the page changes - if you're manually pressing F5 every second you won't have a clue whether or not the page has changed.

Every time you go to any web page you're sending them more information than you think. They receive that info before they return the page you've requested.

The one way I've been able to prepare in previous years, and this helps a great deal, is to access the booking screen before the sale. There's usually a link for the 'registration/post code' page that takes you through to the payment details page. Accessing that first page and inputting all the registration and post code details ahead of time means I've simply been able to click in each field when the sale is live and my browser remembers what I've put in there before, saving precious time copying/pasting.

Don't suppose we have links already, do we?

Great tip, thanks. Hopefully we will get links soon. Is this for a particular browser or will it work in all?

It'll work with any browser that remembers your form history. I think most of them will remember by default, but it's worth checking your preferences.

Maybe tomorrow if the priority tickets links can be saved?

I'd guess limited chance, they're pretty strict about timings being adhered to, but a friendly email can't hurt - nothing to lose

Good luck

False alarm anyway, their registration has been found

Shit reading kallifire's post has just reminded me how I got tickets so easily for the 2015 fest. Someone here got a booking page early and shared the link. I got on, inputted my details and just hit proceed when it hit 7pm (I think that was the coach time then). Would love that to happen again. .. although the flukiness of that success has  made me more doubtful of a repeat performance :(
