Absolutely no problem jumping on a London coach. Caught the coach since 2013  and never had the ticket checked. They run pretty much all the time and I've never had to wait more than an hour in the queue, and that's leaving 10,11,12-ish.

Looks like ill be booking a seperate coach/train back again.

what moron keeps having coaches leaving the site at 6am? twice in a row now. No way ill be even awake properly at that time let alone awake enough to sort my tent/bags out etc. Learnt a harsh lesson last time by having to get a very expensive train back after I missed my 6am departure......this time ill book ahead and not even try for that one.

This is good to know, I'm not looking to leave any later than 8am but chances are I'll be in no fit state to make 6am, and getting back to London rather than Southampton would be a touch too, given I have to get my shit together to head off to another festival on the Tuesday

Am considering that myself as my return is 4.30am. If I can get my friend in the SR then I may have a lift so will wait until I know that.

Otherwise it is pack everything during daylight hours on sunday, drop into the lock up and stay out, as it's 4.30 may just about be doable

Last year national express were just filling buses when one came on Monday morning. The timetable was ignored and I don't think they even checked tickets. But I'm still going to buy one just in case.

Google maps says it takes 3hrs 30mins to get there, but that's obviously disregarding the 40min pit stop at the services so I reckon we'll get there at around half 11/12. 

Just gotta hope and pray that we don't get stuck in 7 hours of traffic again!

One more question - did you get the return bus last time? What's it like? Bit worried that I will arrive in good time for the 4:30am return and be standing around for hours...

If that's the case I might come up with a contingency plan!

For anyone that's taken NE bus or train home, I expect the times to leave will be longer during the earlier part of the day but when would be a good time to leave to avoid all of the chaos?
