Grimes seems to have quite a high placement on the poster. You think there's a chance she could get a low pyramid slot this year?

Headlining JP. Her stage show is far too much fun for it not to be in a tent at night.

I'm really confused with it actually.

Surely the Other headliners should be LCD, Disclosure and New Order.

Weren't people saying BMTH are one? I've genuinely never of the band.

yep, that trio definitely makes the most sense, but then there's the conflicting BMTH info. not impossible that BMTH are subbing one of them, or Disclosure could be subbing the Pyramid

I guess Disclosure are the most cross over out of the 3 and would appeal to Pyramid types. I'd like to catch their live show, loved their first album, second one not so much. They seem to really try and make their show stand out from other electronic acts by having big drum pads to hit to trigger samples.

They fell flat completely on West Holts the other year.

BMTH subbing Disclosure makes the most sense. Pretty strong Other stage lineup if so. R/L would be pretty pleased if they had BMTH>Disclosure on their main stage.

St Etienne say they're on at 7pm and "20 minutes after ELO finish".  Do we think they've got their start time wrong or ELO's finish time?

If they're right, that puts ELO finishing at 6.40pm which is 90 mins later than Lionel last year and more in line with Alt-J's finish time.

Not gonna do day splits because that just overcomplicates it - gonna structure it with stage splits though

Not always in order of headliners / size - just going by coloumb

Pyramid: Muse, Adele, Coldplay, Foals, Beck, Jeff Lynne's ELO, ZZ Top, The Last Shadow Puppets, Ellie Goulding, Skepta, The Syrian National Orchestra, Jess Glynne, Cyndi Lauper, Wolf Alice

Other: LCD Soundsystem, New Order, Disclosure, PJ Harvey, The 1975, Daughter, John Grant, Bring Me the Horizon, Jack Garret, Hinds, Chvrches, Bastille, Years & Years, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Blossoms

WH: Earth Wind and Fire, Grimes, Sigur Ros, Ronnie Spector, Rokia Traore, Kamasi Washington, James Blake, Baaba Maal,

JP: Annie Mac, Savages, Stormzy, Band of Horses, Aluna George, Underworld, Two Door Cinema Club, Jake Bugg, Mac Demarco, Of Monsters & Men, Lapsley

Park: Floating Points, Guy Garvey, Explosions in the Sky, M83, Kurt Vile, Roison Murphey, Bat for Lashes, St Etienne

Accoustic: Art Garfunkel

SH: Little Simz, Carl Cox, Fatboyslim, Lady Leshurr,

Glade: Carl Cox

dunno: Vince Staples, NAO, Richard Hawley, Ezra Furman, Mercury Rev, Gregory Porter, Madness, Ernest Ranglin, Santigold, Dua Lipa, Protoje,

West Holts: James Blake, Sigur Ros, Earth Wind & Fire
Park: Richard Hawley, M83, Explosions in the Sky
JP: Skepta, TBA, Grimes

I'm still hoping Richard Ashcroft will be announced and headline one of the nights at John Peel.

Is Gregory Porter likely to be back on WH? He was great last year, but don't see why they would book him for the same slot again, can't see him headlining above any of the 3 I have put.
I think he would go down really well early on Pyramid.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
