May have been mentioned earlier in this thread, but i'm late to the party as usual.

Just finished listened to Marcus Marr & Chet Faker's EP Work that came out in December, only four songs but it is absolute class. Hopefully both/either of them pop up at the farm.

Top ten tracks of 2016 so far (some of these may have been mid-to-late December but that's close enough):

1. Daughter – Numbers

2.Night Beats – No Cops

3. PJ Harvey – The Wheel

4. Emma Pollock – Parks and Recreation

5. TLSP – Bad Habits

6. Fat White Family – Whitest Boy on the Beach

7. Savages – TIWYG

8. Sunflower Bean – Easier Said

9. The Coral – Miss Fortune

10. Diiv – Under the Sun

new Yuck, Animal Collective, Wild Nothing and Junior Boys all available. good day!

Let me know if new Yuck is worth bothering with. The last one had that amazing single before release, then ended up being poops on the whole.

yeah exactly what i thought - Reborn was a really great song/direction, but the album was pretty darn pants. first single from this new album hasn't filled me with much hope tbh

Karl Hyde talks over some reasonable dance music that would be better if Darren Emerson had been involved... sounds like Underworld (since 2000) to me.

Should imagine they would put on a good live show, they always used to.

Re:ATDI ... I suspect it is all the members of ATDI, it isn't like Cedric and Omar are short of random projects to use as names if it is just those two.

I thought that for many years, as I stopped listening to Underworld just as Emerson left. However, when they did their Olympics thing, I listened back to their back catalogue and was startled to find that he actually made next to no difference. Especially if you take into account that he wasn't even with the band at the start.

Underworld just failed to jibe with the Zeitgeist the Emerson left. Listening to their records as a body of work, I don't find much of a stylistic change and certainly no sudden drop off in quality. Maybe their very latest records aren't as good, but there's plenty to recommend in their 21st century work.

Not seen anything about these online, but while flicking through The Skinny the other day I saw that there are new albums from Santigold and Sarah Neufeld out in the world right now! I'll be listening during the week, but I wanted you all to know that you can enjoy them now.

Came across this song the other day and I'd never heard of this band before, I really like it though. They're a sort of shoegazy band from Russia. Turns out they released their debut album last year so I'll try and give that a listen soon as well as their new album at the end of the month.

The new one is out there and it's - as Davina would put it - shamaze. Like best of 2016 excluding Blackstar good.

    • Broco have European dates in Czechia and Slovenia the day before and after so I would be shocked if it were them, despite them having no other UK festival presence this summer.   Bilmuri are a shout as I don't think it'll be someone massive.
