This is utterly devastating news. Im good friends with someone who had until recently been a minder for Nick and Susies children. He was very close to Arthur and the rest of the family. Says he was a hugely caring and thoughtful lad and a complete delight to be around. My thoughts are with the whole of their family now. With a family of young children Lord knows how they all must be coping. Simply tragic.

This was really upsetting news. Underneath the stage facade and the fact he's an incredibly hard working artist, Nick Cave also seems like someone who is a pretty grounded family man. RIP Cave Jr.

Yeah. In fact, it was only the other day I brought up that Chico pantomime thing as a (tongue in cheek) blemish on his 'rock and roll' status, forgetting he was there because he was sharing a treasured moment with his family and being a good dad and getting involved. And in real life, that's what's 'rock and roll' ain't it? Not giving a toss about what anyone thinks and doing something for the people you love.

 

Anyway, it is unimaginably awful for Nick and his family and thoughts are with them. RIP.
