Silver Hayes Lineup

yeah i'm not a fan of this either, but it's definitely what i can see happening in Kanye's set for the likes of Skepta and Big Sean as was the case for his London show. hopefully won't go too overboard with it though like Outkast did with Future at Coachella

At least with Big Sean he is actually on the track. He's nothing to do with That's Not Me and went offstage for part of it when they performed at KOKO. Obviously I like Skepta and That's Not Me is quite good but it'd be horrendous if Kanye effectively subbed himself off for a song.

Anyway I apologise for turning this thread into Kanye chat. :P

FNM have no gigs on the 24th and 25th so I also got excited when I saw Peeping Tom on that list. But after a bit of poking about I discovered that a "Peeping Tom" also played at Glastobury last year (at 2am somewhere) and also a YouTube video of Peeping Tom at Glastobury 2012. Needless to say there was no sign of Patton.

So I think the Peeping Tom at Silver Hayes this year won't be Peeping Tom. But then were we really expecting Mike Patton, Norah Jones, Dan the Automator and all those others I can't remember to play amongst a load of dj sets? Why am I even writing this?

Still - the gap in faith no more's tour schedule offers the faintest glimmer of hope for a surprise appearance elsewhere. Maybe with Prince as guest guitarist and Santa Claus on the bongos. But I still can't help but hope.

I saw Peeping Tom on the lineup while looking for free MP3s to post HERE and I concluded that it was more likely to be the DJ Peeping Tom ( FACEBOOK ). That said, there are live acts playing in Silver Hayes, and Faith No More is touring Europe during late June so it's not impossible they'll play the festival and Patton will also do side gigs.

Unlikely, but not impossible.

This is a lineup for a festival in its own right. The fact that we have proper huge open air stages with the biggest bands could be completely irrelevant.

Makes me think how Glastonbury is like a festival made up of several smaller (but still quite big) festivals.

Yep,thought the same when I saw the Avalon lineup...

Leftfield.. that is all.... whooooooop whoooooop, seriously happy bunny, if see nothing else the entire festival, I'll leave with a smile on my boat race. Seen Leftfield a few times now over the years, but would love to hear the new material live alongside tracks from the best electronic/dance music LP (IMHO) 'Leftism'. I actually hope it clashes badly :D

Agree on how this holds up as a fantastic lineup for a standalone dance festival. As others have said the element of multiple festivals in one place. I'd pay good money to go the 'The Park' - and Boomtown is a major successful festival which could be considered an expansion of the SE Corner. Excitement is building now.

I've just come home from a gig and noticed ACOLLECTIVE will be back at glastonbury this year. I have to admit the dance area line up doesn't do a lot for me, but this band are incredible and I heartily recommend them to anybody who will listen. Shades of cooper temple clause mixed with death cab

In my opinion, Silver Hayes has released the strongest line up so far. That's a festival worth going to in its own right. The fact it's just a small part of a much larger festival is pretty mind-blowing. This may actually impact where I camp.

I've always camped at bushy ground which is right next to silver Hayes, couldn't recommend it enough, I know the area gets a bit of a ribbing on here but I really enjoy walking past the gully and the blues on my way back to tent and have spent a good number of hours there tempted away from snoozing..

This lineup is pretty stellar for me, personally nothing can top nas being there in 2013, but some names on there are very appealing.

Does anyone know if Leftfield is a DJ set or is it a live set of their own music?

Sonic seems a pretty small venue if it is a live set.

think the upcoming dates are live, or at least some of them are anyway.

it's only Neil Barnes on his own that is "Leftfield" now though, Daly left a few years ago.

I'm quite picky when it comes to what Dance music I like, basically I only really dig Housey stuff. Without checking out everyone on the poster, could anyone be kind enough to list any good House artists I may be interested in?

    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
