Really pleased Real Lies have made the line up. They dont have much material out at the moment but I got put on to them recently and am really enjoying what im hearing. Its a real summer time vibe sound. They'll appeal to fans of Jungle *The band that is* but have more of an Acid House/New Order inffluence going on.

Oh man! How did I miss Real Lies!! Sooo happy that they've been included. Nice one.

They're definitely this years 'Band ive only just discovered... so bloody excited to see!' act for me.

Yeah man for sure, discovered them through Jamie XX's boiler room set when he played one of their tracks, been a fan ever since. They have such a good vibe to them.

Also just want to say that this gives me a feel of the sheer depth of the line up. If you look at the Glastonbury news page, for most other festivals this will be it. But we've still got a tonne of stages to go. Man, the clashes are going to be fucking horrific.

Considering i couldn't go last year i must admit i was a little underwhelmed with the initial line up poster and had a bit of whinge down the pub... what a naive fool i truly am! Over the past few weeks with self confirms, smaller stage announcments and now Silver Hayes the line up, there is loads im looking forward to and absolutley buzzing to the point of there being a spring in my step all day long. It really all does hit home that sheer depth you mention doesn't it!

On a side note im quite suprised to see The Skints in there, no way would i have thought they would be in Silver Hayes. My money was on Left Field or West Holts.

Is it possible with the lack of techno in Silver Hayes this year that they could have it in other areas such as Shangri La? I know its usually all DnB around there but I was hoping for more techno.

Cheers for the recommendation. Just giving him a listen just now on youtube and think he sounds pretty good

I didn't know him until last week either - he supported Kate Tempest and owned it.

So much so that I bought tickets to see him in October aha. Very glad I don't have to wait that long.

He plays with a cracking band as well. Great faces from the bassist.

I love this forum! Had what I thought was a good read of this. Came in here and read Leftfield! How did I miss that?! Where and when will they be do we think?

Also Grandmaster Flash, Roni Size and Tricky. May spend a bit of my time in my least favourite area this year :)

This is a lineup for a festival in its own right. The fact that we have proper huge open air stages with the biggest bands could be completely irrelevant.

Makes me think how Glastonbury is like a festival made up of several smaller (but still quite big) festivals.

I know silver Hayes doesn't get much love on here but I love the place. The last two years I haven't had a clue who half the names playing the blues and the gully are but every time I've had a random hour there the atmosphere has been amazing, def venturing back into those two stages again this year

    • This basically!, it's about as clear as day they'll be there.
    • Yeah there is no down time, I'm still tired and over thinking from last weeks work. A big reality check this week. If you just do it for the money you always will.

    • Robbie Williams would fit with the current state of the legend’s slot, and he’d bring the house down.
