Silver Hayes Lineup

This will be my first Glasto since the Dance Village has morphed into Silver Hayes. Do you guys think the change has genuinely improved the area?

I always thought the line up in the Dance East/West etc was brilliant but the actual area itself was very bland, could have been any festival.

The sonic stage is cool in concept but it really doesnt deliver regarding sound quality and atmosphere unless you are in the sweet spot

Where would you recommend to start with garage for a newbie?

You could start with the Pure Garage compilations i guess. They're generally quite inoffensive.

I grew up in the garage era so it has been a big part of my life. I prefer the Tuff Jam and Todd Edwards type of garage. I don't mind a bit of the more harder stuff (ie Zinc, Agent X etc) but only up to when grime started to creep in, which in my eyes killed the vibe.

Thats what it was last year so my guess is its the same. The weather put a bit of a downer on it for me last year. Despacio made up for it though.

Hoping Circoloco is all night. Missed it last year as I went to the SE corner, but seen Jon Rundell and Nic Fanciulli are in the glade on the Thursday. That will be great

Very likely as blues stage can then go on to do its intended musical genres fri-sun. Ellen Allien is playing who i want to see!

Nice one. Half my group are not really into house, specifically the techy stuff, I'm going to have to convince them there is nothing better to do on a Thursday!
