The yellow one in the foreground?  That's the Mandela Bar isn't it?

Wasn't the pyramid field getting a new one this year. I thought it was placing mandela but i guess not!

what's the new one called again (assume one of you will know! 🙂 )

There’s going to be one called the Brewery Bar near to the Pyramid Stage

What a beautiful sight this early morning.  That really gets your plums pumping!

( a local expression here for getting excited)

It certainly gets my plumbs pumping. They are like watermelons

Lovely, plan to climb the Tor on the Tuesday before the festival. Bit of a tradition!

Is it busy on the Tuesday before? I plan to try and go up with my wife and toddler, about 3-4pm if we arrive in time. Not sure if it will be too busy for us.

Yes, usually busy but always room. We don’t go up the chalice well route, preferring the route from the town and up the steps beside the apple orchard. Nice walk through the cow fields before the Tor.  It’s well worth the effort.

The perspective on this is quite confusing.  How the Circus and the Astrolabe look so close to the Other but you can't even see them on the webcam!

It's confused the hell out of me, the image is flipped right?

Edit - ignore me I'm being thick

Thanks, I’ll try that route, fingers crossed there’s space when we get there.

Really? How close? That'll be well rammed. Always felt the one next to Cider Bus was kind of the Pyramid Bar.

    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
    • Dug into Milkweed some more and this was a brilliant suggestion. Thank you 🙂   This will come as no surprise, but I have been told that there are some band substitutions to come.
    • Yeah, I think it's important to differentiate between a stage that's just a platform for the artist to walk on (which can be assembled fairly quickly and without too much difficulty), and the custom staging that you get in big productions where there's a whole world underneath.   Using the Eras tour as an example the stage extending out into the stadium field has all sorts - lifts that go up or down - down most importantly as this allows performers to enter or to leave the stage as needed. There's passageways to get from one part of the stage to another. There's what are effectively dressing rooms set aside for costume changes. There's spare instruments (and techs to look after them) so if something goes wrong above they can be swapped out in the space of seconds. There's even a track and dolly system running the full length of the stage so that Taylor can be moved from one end to the other faster than she'd be able to walk.   I don't know the specifics of the Madonna tour to the same degree but my understanding is that a lot of the same techniques are used.
