trackway spotted on my way home this evening, on it's way to the farm I guess 🙂

for any of the safety crew about, this is between J20 and J21 on the M5, we were all doing about 20mph in the pic, pulling away from a standstill, but heading as ever to another stop in the endless stop start traffic that is the bit of motorway in the evenings.

Glastocam people, you're definitely the best thread to ask -

I'm feeling a little day trip to Glastonbury Tor (and the Blue Note Café) in my near future.

If I go some time next week, will I be able to see stuff like the pyramid from there? Do I need binoculars?

I’ve only been up once on the way to the festival. Even fully built the site was not obvious.

Your eyes are probably better than mine but I would say good binoculars are a must

the pyramid skeleton circled! Taken from the Tor in February, heading down for a few days camping next weekend hopefully so will definitely take binoculars with us.

As others have pointed out you should be able to see the Pyramid from the Tor with binoculars reasonably easily now that she has her dress on.  If you are driving then you can also see it from the A361 to your right approaching Pilton coming from Glastonbury.  If you're heading that way then turn off right into Pilton and have a drive along Pylle Road past Mary's Gate and then right down Cockmill Lane past what will be Gate B and Gate C....although you won't be able to get on site there is plenty going on to peer at through the hedges down there that will give you the thrills.

Have a nice trip 🙂

You must rack up some serious miles in your car going to and from Somerset!

That's a fair old stretch of fence posts laid out for today. Once they get going they really do smash it.

They'll have half filled the gap to the other section once that lot is up.

    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
    • But I think the point of that Dan Needle tax thing...we need to put up income tax, for all incomes (and thresholds should be unfrozen).
    • There are no easy answers...more than anything we need growth...and probably main ways of getting that is borrowing more to invest in stuff that makes us super sexy, and/or cut taxes on business and wealth generation which would mean less money to spend on public services and welfare and would obviously be super unpopular and get you chucked out of govt. On top of all that got an aging population, a growing welfare bill, a call for higher spending on defence, housing inequality, higher borrowing costs, and probably a load more sh*t on the way due to the Iran war (although so far it hasn't been that bad?)
    • A couple of OR's crew and band have posted Barcelona pics.   HYYPPPEEEEE
